IM NOT saying that the Ps3 could do awesome graphics. I only said that the past few games had demonstrated a lack in quality textures. I take UNTOLD LEGENDS as an example cause this game looked like a psp game. Now it looks great, Next gen quality. If you want to show me some graphic quality take only the exclusives one. MGS4 and Assasins Creed are great examples of the PS3 power, Motorstorm and the EA s##t arent. I hope developers could give us better quality screenshots. Resistance looks incredible on video, but its screenshots left something to be desired. Look at the quality textures the last 360 games are achieving and find for yourself what im talking about. In the past the only problem I encounter with the PS2, was its texture quality and anti- aliasing, Im expecting this problem doesnt repeat again with my PS3.

If this is true, the PS3 will be getting Oblibion at launch, one of the very few good 360 games available right now. If this happen the PS3 launch line will be even greater. It was better than the 360 without Oblibion, imagine with it. IT WILL BE GREAT!!!

I really doubt that Betheseda would do that all these years it took to make a game for 360 I doubt its coming to ps3 and if it did I really doubt it will be as good.

Only two titles as of now have been confirmed for launch. Secondly the ps3 does not do Anti Aliasing. Sony said it doesnt need it with 1080p. Only problem is most games aren't in 1080p and most importantly most people don't have 1080 p. From what they have shown thus far there will be jaggies. Thirdly you showed screens of CG animation from E3 2005 as what the ps3 can do. Sorry but there is a reason why the games look less impressive with the current batch of screen shots. I'm not saying there won't be good games. I'm saying that the screen shots you showed of Ps3 games are were not ingame and were not accurate. We all know that the ps3 will have unbelievable HD cut scenes. But the ingame graphics will not live up to what they showed at E3 2005. Thats why at this years E3 people were unimpressed with the gameplay footage. It was a big let down. Then to find out that there most likely won't be any games in the highly taunted 1080p due to the performace hit the system takes. Then to top it off developers are saying that the 360 is more likely to make better looking games due to Sony's lack of Graphics ram that can be allocated. The max texture ram than can be allocated is 256. With NO AA. Thats not impressive. But blu ray playback was and is their main focus. The hd video playback in games will be breath taking. But once the games starts and you start playing be prepared for a major drop in graphics from High performance PC's to the 360. Thats why the developers of PREY said there game can't be run on the ps3. Just not enough graphics power due to lack of ram. Keep in mind the 360 has 5 times the amount of ram as the ps3. Thats amazing. And Microsoft was smart. Thats what developers want and need. You make the developers happy. You get much love and great games. Thats what it boils down to. Great games. You can have the most powerful system in the universe but if you don't have the best software its all for not.

Prey isn't for everyone. But for those of us that like first person online shooters with a deep story...its perfect. But it is Sony's fault. They did things wrong this time and me as a consumer, I have the right to speak up about it. I'm honestly upset at the route sony took. I love games. And I want to like the ps3. And I hope it shocks everyone. It just doesn't look like it as of now with a few months to go till launch. Thats all. And me stating that most if not all games won't be displayed in 1080p is important for everyone to know. Because that was sony's big selling point to begin with. I can't tell you my dissapointment when I read that most games won't use 1080p. To be honest with you thats why I bought a 1080p tv when they first shipped. Can I vent? Can I be honest? Sony said that the HD era don't start till the ps3 launches. Why? Because they said only 1080p is true hd. They lied to me. I don't like to be lied to. So now, I let the truth be known so others don't fall for their lies. If the ps3 is great. Then I will be the first consumer to be happy about it. But if it isn't. I will be the first consumer to warn prospective buyers. Thats what the information high way is for. Getting information and sharing it. We all grow from it.

A 360 launch game Full Auto looks the same or better than a game for the ooooh so powerful ps3 and its a part 2. Full Auto 2. Sure screen shots don't tell the whole story. But it tells a lot of it. You can see the detail, the lighting, the color depth, bump mapping, ect...and the 360 games just look better. Whether they play better.....thats to be continued when the ps3 launches.

PS2.5 with it's downgraded graphics. PS3 games look like PS2 games with less jaggies. No complex lighting poor color and piss poor richness. It's no wonder Sony dev's hide the games with haze, dust, blurr, smoke and mirrors once again folks.

This game rocks. If all you've ever played were Japanese RPG's this will be a breath of fresh air for the PS3 if it comes out. You may or may not like the style, but it is something new for the Playstation brand. I have it on 360, but a few of my friends and coworkers are probably getting the PS3 instead. I felt sorry for them because they would never get to play this amazing game, but this may change that. Good for you Sony. (I hardly ever get a good opportunity to say that.)

You do know that all that was showed of MGS4 was a trailer and Konami ahs a history of its games not looking as good as the trailers they put out so dont hold your breath. its not weather it was gameplay or not, we know it was a tech demo of the game. The issue here is CoverGirl was saying that the 360 games, "In game graphics" look better than any cgi or tech demo, which is a load of crap. Understand the issue, you cant read or something.
By the way, if those audio codecs are in the blu ray discs, what makes you think that game devs wont use them, are you that dumb. Come on man.

You think that PS3 is inferior cause it doesn't support dx10. Now that's really noobish, do you really think there is only 1 way to code graphics? There are thousands ways and with OpenGL the devs have a lot more freedom than with dx10.
A little food for your brain:
From your understanding any next dx10 PC title will own 1.5 visualy, cause your xflop doesn't fully support dx10...Dont worry now, I'll help you out, it doesn't work that way. The devs don't need dx10 to do same effects, there are many ways to do it. I know you wonder now, but to make it easy, I'll give you an example:
PS2 could deliver graphics on and beyond the level of dx7/dx8 without using it.
Other funny thing is that you think you prove something with your screen comparisons. Truth is, you always compare the baddest PS3 pics with the best 1.5 pics you can find and some of your xflop screens ain't even ingame.
I would also like to point out that some games just have a dark style and the devs don't won't to use strong colors. It's really noobish to think that a console doesn't have enough power to deliver colorful games. Kid, this ain't NES/Genesis era, colors doesn't bring any of todays consoles to it's knees ;-) So to sum it up, you fail badly to prove that 1.5 is superior to PS3, any of your screen comaprinons, any of your MS analysis, any of your biased devs won't prove it. Blu ray doesn't make games better. It just holds more data for games. But its slow streaming data from the disc to the hard drive or the games at 2x speed. The reason why you need blu ray or hd dvd to play HD movies is because HD movies take up more disc space. Blu ray doesn't magically make games better. And I made the ps3 so hard to program for with such limited allocated ram...lol...games will suck azz. I'm just being honest. I'm the Boss of Sony. If you want to be mad at someone be mad at me. Xbox Fanboys are correct. Microsoft has again broke a record. The 360 hit the 5 million mark faster than any console in history. They sold 2.7 million in the USA and 2.3 million to the rest of the world. And 3 million xbox 360 users are online via live Gold. And they dropped the year subscription to live gold to 36 dollars a year. That sucks. They always one up us and we haven't even launched yet.

EA....they told me that they won't be bringing NCAA to the ps3. I asked them why and they said that they are having enough problems trying to complete Madden on our crappy ps3. NCAA 07 Football knocks us flat with flawless graphics and some of the best sports gameplay ever.
Although the franchise is one of gaming's longest running sports series, NCAA Football is, in many ways, a game of firsts. Never before has a college football game been this fun or looked this good. The level of visual brilliance featured in NCAA 07 is unrivaled in any current sports game, even outdoing EA's own masterpiece, FIFA World Cup. At last, EA Sports has managed to elevate the presentation and graphics to match the broadcast quality commentary and sound. Every character on the field moves with life-like fluidity while the jerseys and helmets reflect light and show dirt and wear just like a real college game. Plus, the great play-by-play is now accompanied by school-specific crowd cheers and realistic fan sections to match the action on the field.

There are a few instances of oddities, like players running crossing routes right into one another, but for the most part NCAA 07 is as addictive and heart-pumping as the series has ever been.

Wonderfully detailed close-ups are only hampered by a framerate that has a small tendency to start chugging if there’s too much going on. The animation set has been nicely expanded too, now if they could only get rid of those jaggies.

Audio 8.1
The trio of commentators could use some revamping at this stage in their tenure. The sounds of the stadiums and its gaggle of fans are at the top of their game.

Longevity 8.2
NCAA 07 doesn’t quite have the legs of its past-gen counterpart but there’s still enough to warrant a purchase. The lack of the small things like alternate jerseys and classic teams will sting just a bit.

Innovation 8.4
The visuals are the main innovator here. The gameplay has stayed largely unchanged less the new kicking mechanic and a few additions on either side of the ball. The third-person camera perspectives of the Xbox version would have really helped.

In your personal opinion, do you see a difference in PS3 vs Xbox 360? Hardware and Games (ex: graphically, processing, ect.)

Magnus Högdahl, CTO: It is hard to give a fair judgement of the games until there
are final versions on the shelves that I can buy for a retail version PS3.

What is it like developing on the Cell processor?

Magnus Högdahl, CTO: The PowerPC part of the Cell is very similar to one of the Xbox360 CPU
cores. They share most of the common performance problems and are both quite bad at running generic c++ code. This is something we can deal with relatively easily,
though. The Cell's SPUs have great peak performance numbers,
but adapting any moderately complex graphics system to run on 256k memory for both code and data is a very time consuming challenge on the ps3.

The Biggest Undiscovered Story of E3 2006:
Tucked in the corner of Kentia hall, normally reserved for the booths too off-beat to make it onto the mainstream floor, was one of the biggest stories of E3 2006. And no one seemed to notice.

There, a company called GestureTek was showing off a software development kit used to program for Microsoft's as-of-yet unannounced camera for the Xbox 360.

"We can't tell you for sure what Microsoft is going to do," said John Vincent, President of GestureTek, which was under a Microsoft press embargo until the start of E3. "All we can tell you is what they can do if they want to."

And what they can do with the GestureTek tools is extremely impressive.

What it amounts to is a system that can do everything that Nintendo's Wii controller can do, and then some. More than just a next generation version of EyeToy, this new software can accurately track multiple faces on a screen, judge distances accurately, and distinguish rotational changes.

In other words, as of last month, the Xbox 360 developers had all the tools needed to reproduce almost every demo Nintendo had on the E3 floor; all they were missing was the Xbox 360 camera.

I took a dump in the toilet at E3 and I didn't flush it. When I went to wash and dry my hands I saw shadowgamer, XbugTerminator, Gametime, JIN KAZAMA, NJ, and The Truth all crowding around my poop admiring it. Pointing and commenting on how beautiful it looked and smelled. I had to admit I was a little taken back and flustered by there devotion to what I had just produced in the toilet. I love you guys. If gamers like Oblivion, where this article is about and nothing else, have this game in nr. 1 place they should be better of buying a 360 with the game and get the experience, then wait on an overexpensive alternative that will get a port from the 360 version.

Furthermore, I have been betrayed by Sony before with the PS2, with a DVD drive that stopped working after a relative short period, couldn't play the games anymore, they wanted to charge me too much money to make it and a friend of me that send it in for repair had to wait months to get it back. Paid a lot and that drive was not working again after a year. Furthermore, all those lies Sony made in the past about the great online experience on the PS2 and the graphics that would be better then all other consoles, those same lies come again now.

It's known that the PS3 GPU only is restricted to 256 MB, has no 10 MB Embedded extra fast ram (no free 4 x FSAA and so on) and it is comparable to a NVidia 7900. It is just clear that the Cell looks nice with raw power on paper specs but in real time it will have problems with 7 so called cores that can calculate simultane, but what's the use if programming it, cutting calculations up in so many pieces then can't get put out because of only two threads there is on the official main core compared to 360 CPU 3 cores x 2 threads.

For real. Sony lies. Watch their show from E3 on video. See how they don't know what they're bringing at all. See them stumbeling over each other

Yes it is confincing people not to buy the PSZero and get a 360 instead. Because of the screen footage we've seen from Tekken 6, Warhawk, Genji 2 and more looks like straight crap out of the N64 time.

The only thing Sony fans are talking about is footage of MGS4 but is that CGI, all inengine? Sony could said that, but they said that also from Killzone 2 in the beginning. I guess you all get your @ss ripped again by Barbie Ken. Let's just hope @ Christmas when you see the PS running with real games (if not delayed) compared the 360 running it's games and ofcourse Gears of War in every store you're choosing for the best console. Which with eyes open for sure not can be the PS64. I think if the Wii is besides it one wouldn't even see the difference in graphics.

The problem with Sony's logic is that they've catered to the casual gamer so much now that they've alienated the majority of the hardcore. Everyday all a gamer is pounded with is more bad news or quotes from Sony."Sony's control now named PooS", "Problems with Sony's Cell Processor","No Rumble feature with the controller." There has been more bad news then good when it comes to the PS3 ever since the announcement of the price.

Ah yes, the price.

This is where Sony's strategy fails. When I said that Sony believes that the casual gamer is more important then the hardcore gamer, I was right. Sony is trying to use their strategy from the last generation to win this one, and that's hooking the casual consumer. They're confident that this will get them on top. The difference here is that the PS2 wasn't $600. It was $300 ,and even though that was still a pretty penny at the time, consumers didn't have high costs of living like they do today. People were ready to take that next leap, not only in gaming, but also in digital media in general with the jump from VHS to DVD. People aren't as ready for the leap to The Playstation's Blu-Ray. There is no outright demand, nor noticeable growth in Blu-ray as a medium like there was with the DVD surrounding the PS2's launch. The $600 PS3 of 2006 is not as a desirable item as the $300 PS2 of 2000. Sony doesn't realize that going into the $600 mark is an investment, and most casual gamers aren't going to make that investment.

"It prints money."

What Sony is doing is banking on the casual gamer to win them another round, and thus alienating the hardcore. And there's the rub. They don't realize that this is not the "PS2 2006", and there's a good chance that casual gamers won't even buy this console at this price. Hardcore gamers know what it is and what it can do, so some of them may feel comfortable spending that $600. So not only are they beating at a dead horse in the mainstream market, they've also managed to shoo away the only people who had a chance on buying it.

It doesn't help that The Three Stooges at Sony have something stupid to say nearly every day. Ken Kutaragi, Phil Harrison, and Kaz Hirai, all Sony executives, are the main reason for the die hard consumers loss of faith for the Sony brand. I'll let you decide. Ken Kutaragi's best: “The PS3 is not a game machine .“ “The PS3 will instill discipline in our children and adults alike. Everyone will know discipline." “Microsoft shoots for the moon. Sony shoots for the sun.” Phil Harrison: "The PlayStation 3 is a computer. We do not need the PC." "When we brought the PlayStation to the market in 1994, we introduced real time 3-D graphics for the first time." And my favorite, Kaz Hirai: "Every time we go down a path, we look behind and [Microsoft's] right there - we just can't shake these guys. I wish that they would come up with some strategies of their own, but they seem to be going down the path of everything we do." "The first five million [people] are going to buy [the PS3], whatever it is, even if it didn't have games." Everytime Sony opens their mouth a fan somewhere dies.

What They Need To Do

Hire a PR who knows how to speak English. Please. For all of our sakes.

Show gamer's what we're paying 600 smackers for. Line-up games and say "This is why you should buy our system" instead of "Buy our system because it's a Playstation". The Playstation 3 has just as many third-party titles in the works as the Micrsoft 360, but Microsoft is so much better at letting their gamers know what's coming up down the line. You're not in the position to just show us a little at E3 and then makes us wait until November for more info. The mystery scheme works for Nintendo because they have an inexpensive system and consumers know enough about the games to take a chance, no one is paying $600 for anything unless they know exactly what it is they're getting back.

Have you seen the new trailer in HD for mtorostorm. It looks INSANE! DAMN, you have to check it out, it looks very cool. i cannot wait for this game.

This is a 360 screen shot. Sure it will be ported to the ps3. But man it looks good on the 360. The developers said this is the ingame graphics engine in use. Amazing. Right on par with Test Drive and Forza 2.

which is commin out for the PS3 also, but thats not in game, look at the angle of the pic, its from the side and back, what first person car would see it in that angle anyways. Its not gameplay. Anyways, did you take a look at the motorstorm in HD, that looks awesome, the dirt kicking up, the crashes, its looking close to that target video man, you cant deny that.

But hopefully it will get better by the time the game launches. Now the 360 Tiger woods that launced with the system was great. Unbelievable detail. And I'm sure 2007 will be even better now that they are more familiar with the hardware of the 360. Here is a screen from last years on the 360....

But it should be out on launch, or soon after. I dont think any was CGI, but it was realtime gameplay along with maybe clips of when after you race, you can view your entire race and the show differnt angles. But the game is defintialty comming along very nicely. Especially since all those vehicles were on the screen and a ot fo chaos was going on, i think this is gonna be pretty exctiting. The sense of speed looks fine to me, although i am sure you can get some vehicles that will go pretty fast, also i wanna see some other sets on this. Its hsaping up to be very good.

EA to me Sucks, I used to LOVE EA, but they have sold out. Like Need for speed games, the best one was hot pusuit 2, after that they sucked to me. like Carbon, I know they are just rushing it, and trying to get it out as quickly as possible, I will rent it first.
