They only planning to go MP beta this year.
So unless there will be some MP beta in august, it`s no way they are going to release game by september.

Halo 3 is far below what I expected, it really is, this was Microsoft's big gun (Microsoft and Nintendo's inhouse still don't add up to Sony's FACT, For the people that don't know Sony has 3x more games studios than it's competitors, Sony has the biggest inhouse exclusives in the long run by a mile) I was expecting Halo 3 to come out later from Microsoft and keep everybody interested, but they've showed up with Bungie with nothing special, anyone who isn't obsessed by Halo is still wondering what all the fuss is about... I gave Microsoft more credit than they were due...

I can't wait to see Killzone2, I like the art style seems different from other shooters. I never played Killzone1 but alot of my friends do like it and were impress with the story. I dunno, to me things just don't add up. KZ 2 i'm sure will look good, I just hope that its "fun" factor is high. As for Halo 3, It makes no sense that Bungie shows the multiplayer beta and absolutely nothing from the campaign and take the level of criticism they took about the look of the beta with virtually no responses. Bungie has something up their sleeve and i think they'll unveil it at E3. If you read the bungie weekly updates, they damn near are floored by the way the game is looking. And Bungie doesnt strike me to lie or exaggerate since Ive heard them in the past praise some sony games and they've always been very straight forward. My prediction is (Don't kill me, its just my guess) that the "starry night" commercial is going to give you an indication on how the game will look. Obviously i know its CG, however, i think it won't be that far off....

Obviously it wont be able to match the CGI trailer, I stated that in my original post. Remember Motorstorm was the same way, it didnt match the original trailer shown but it was close and the game ended up looking beautiful. But really, I dont care if the game doesn't floor anyone. Halo for me has always been the sweet sweet sweet feeling of rolling up behind someone and gun butting them for a kill or seeing them run by and sniping them for an instant kill. If KZ2 looks better and even plays better, more power to Sony. All the more reason for me to buy a ps3. Im going to be part of the neutral group and buy both Halo and Killzone and enjoy what both games and systems have to offer.

Sure, it'll most likely beat Halo 3 on graphics, thats great. But when it comes down to solid gameplay, Halo 3 will most likely take the cake.

Guerilla Games has not churned out a five star title to date on a console, in all of its history. If the developer is not so skilled, the game won't be too hot. KZ2 in my opinion is a bunch of hype, with no substance, because of a cool CGI trailer.

In September? Up with Unreal? Doubt it. Sony wants to buy dinner and woo Epic too much to make a move like that. An Xmas release might conflict with MGS4, and while they're different types of games, I doubt Sony'd space them so closely together.

Besides, you know people are still going to complain about how unlike the trailer the graphics are (regardless of how close they really are), because, seriously, that's all the media hype cares about. I think they're going to use this to dazzle just enough people to entice the market, and then re-group to re-tool for a few months.

Killzone2 is the most anticipated game this year. The Media, game sites, xbots and sony fans this is the title that everybody wants to see no other title can say that not even halo3. The games hasn't even been shown but websites and forums are discussing it. So to say that this game does not have what it takes to outsell halo3 is being short sited. When halo3 news comes out only halo fans read it, but when Killzone2 news comes out halo fans and everyone reads about it. Killzone gets so much attention that sony doesn't have to do anything to promote it.

September? I highly doubt that. I'm a ps3 owner as well and I wna have this game ASAP but September is really early. We haven't even seen anything but the '05 trailer. Also, all this comparisons with Halo is really ridiculous sometimes. I'll say it before and I'll say it again, there is no need for a Halo killer. Halo is a proven franchise for the Xbox360 and already have an established fanbase. That's what Killzone needs to do. They need to establish a franchise and an install base for the PS brand. I think the reason Killzone 1 was bad was because from what Ive heard Guerilla Co. wasnt very familiar with console hardware and was more familiar with Pc hardware. But not only that but Sony didnt back them
100 percent. But Sony has great faith in the Killzone 2 and is backing it more than any first party game in development by Sony. They even through in 41 million dollars as of last year. But its not just money you need to make a good game, its also time. This game has been in development for a few years so it should be good if not great. But I have alot of faith in this game. I for one do not see this being true because Guerilla games said there would be a beta. So if Killzone is to come out in September the beta would have to come out after E3 and I do not think that beta would come out right away so I would see it coming out in August. Hmmm... I really don't believe it's gonna come out in September, that would be too good to be true. I've got a feeling that graphically, it's gonna kick ass simply because Sony have set themselves too high a standard to fall from. Hopefully it plays well. One thing though regarding Halo 3. I know it's a beta (which I've played on my friends machine) but how can some people tell me that the multi-player will look worse than the single player campaign anyway? I only ask this as I've played many 40 player matches in Resistance and I don't seem to notice any difference in quality. Also, I've just seen the multiplayer of COD4 on gametrailers and that looks amazing!

Like somebody mentioned, this game will really be KZ 1, for a lot of gamers. I never even played the first KZ, or knew about it until I heard about KZ2.

I hope thats what the developers are aiming for, well to establish a real fanbase on the second installment. Trying to declare this game some "Halo Killer", when you really have no fanbase, you can boast about, is BS.

This game can only showcase, what the Ps3 is capable of, sicne you have to back up that CGI, somehow. So I expect the game to look good, then again that is my only expectation, right now.

I don't think Halo has been so addicting because it was the best looking FPS. Well even Goldeneye007 back in it's days. FPS games tha thave done well have been moreso about gameplay and addicting online matches. Unless were talking about a PC FPS's, which will blow anything the 360, and the ps3 will have starting wit Crysis, and other DX10 games after that.

KZ2 will ruin halo3 in the graphics part - and lets face it thats what every1 is waiting to see - how close KZ2 comes to the trailer...now that we know halo3 is garbage in the graphics dept and that halo3 is pretty much the same game as 1 & 2 - KZ2 really could shine with new gameplay style - all i know is that if they follow anything along the lines of call of duty 4 + the graphics of the trailer - this will knock halo out of the king FPS chair as will be the game to beat...no questioned asked.

way it goes this game is going to be good. I liked the first game. The story line is awesome and the game play was furious the AI was ok as far as the enemy moving and taking cover, but the screams and saying the same thing over and over is the only thing that i didn't like. You do not have to be a genius to know that Halo 3 is about to walk away with the most sales this holiday. You may put your hands down you liars. The fact of the matter is that I have and love Xbox 360. From the games to the service, to the now anime and dd for hd and standard movies and shows. However, I am a gamer first, and if anybody can produce a Killzone quality (as far as looks) I would gladly get a PS3. But with only a mediocre first Killzone and only a pc tech demo for Killzone 2, it is unwise to expect so much and to claim its victims ahead of time with the franchise's current resume. This is an exciting time for PS3 owners. It's a rumor and it's all good fun.

I'm gonna get Halo 3 for the Xbox 360, I love its art direction, gameplay, MP and Storyline. Killzone 1 was alright, it was on the right track but it is no Halo Killer, Halo is the only thing which can kill itself.

As for Killzone 2, this E3 Sony are holding a 2 and half hour event just for Killzone 2. There must be something in there which is awesome and I can't wait to see it. I reckon they will give out the release date for Killzone 2, show off a few gameplay trailers, talk about the tech used to build KZ2 and tell everyone when the Beta is.

I am looking forward to both games, hopefully they both do amazinly well.

While I personally am a 360 person, I am not above considering a PS3. In fact I have stated time and again I most likely would get a PS3 once I found reasons to get one...and a price drop (I am a cheap bastard after all).

Anyway to my point. Back in the day when the first Killzone came out..it got my attention...and then quickly faded as the game was very run of the mill as far as shooters go. So I passed. This year there have been 5 recent and upcoming titles that had me saying hmmmm....maybe I will get the PS3 after all:

RFOM - When the first screens started to surface I was like WOW!!! Then I saw game play and it faded VERY fast

Motorstorm - Again, screens came out even video and I was like WOW looks fantastic. But its pretty arcade like and game play didn't impress. I would pick it up if I had a PS3...but its not a reason to buy one.

LAIR - Again...saw the screens and being a fantasy geek I was like OMG, OMG!!! But everything I have seen on video of gameplay just wreaks of boring, twitchy gameplay. I could be wrong..jury is still out on this

WarHawk - Once it went mulitplayer only I lost interest. I dont like multiplayer only games. I want good story. And to be honest the game play just feels way too much like Battlefield.

and that brings me to Killzone 2 - It has all the potential in the world to be a great shooter. I really do hope this is the game that gets me to say...Yes the PS3 is worth the buy. But It's gonna have to be REALLY good because if its just a great shooter...well I have enough of those. I want "I have to have it" games for me to get a PS3 at this point.

Sony is not dumb and would not invest this much time, money, and respect into a game that is not going to deliver. When it does actually come out its a game that can really set the benchmark for what the ps3 can offer and what the 360 cant.

But I'm sure it will be the best game ever made (in the Netherlands :p).

Killzone... I love the aura of mystery surrounding this game. It is so quiet, and the developers have done a great job keeping the details secret. If they are devoting as much time and money on it, and are having a 2 1/2 hour long presentation on it at E3, all I can say is that every gamer should be cautiously optimistic. A good game coming into existence is a good thing for everyone. Any Xbox owner will then know that the competition will drive Microsoft Game Studios to work on making more immersive competing games, thus propelling Sony to strive harder to stay cutting edge with their projects... Competition, in this way, is good, and will again usher in the need to innovate and create great gaming experiences.

Sony really does need another mainline shooter franchise. They pretty much gave up after the PS3 generation, and I'm really surprised they haven't tried at another high-profile, singleplayer-centric shooter; even if it weren't Killzone or Resistance.

I miss Killzone while I can see why they still do Horizon has some really good things but I do think that Horizon is overrated imo.

Or how about studios focus on projects that they feel passionate about, and not be forced to make something they have little interest in. It shows in the final product.

I’m beating a dead horse here… but Resisitance FOM gun lay out was so fun, multiplayer was one of my top favorite experiences. Insomniac nailed it and I would love a remaster and maybe a redo with Reisistance 2. They listens to players who were wanting a Halo killer and it kind of lost its character from the first.

Warhawk, if they had just remade the first one not Starhawk which offered nice things like the build and battle.. but Warhawk was the best arcade shooter I ever played. Back when you didn’t have battle passes and you actually had to get certain amount of kills or ribbons to unlock different paint skins on the Warhawks and armor for your player.. Look at the success of Helldivers 2, it’s a fun game and it reminds me of Warhawk in a way. I’ve been wanting a remake or sequel since the beginning of the ps4 gen.. it’s hurts to have hope nowadays. Even with the demise of the studios Sony has a steady fan base.

Killzone game after Killzone 2 play style would be nice

Motorstorm would be epic with the visual upgrade, maybe this game would be a harder sell with the genre being not as popular nowadays..

Resistance franchise, Motorstorm and Dirt 2 which was fun as heck. Add Dead Space 2 as well.

PS3 ended up been a beast of a console, slow out of the gate, picked up steam, smashed through the finish line. The 1st PS3 slim is still one of my favourite consoles. So solid, great games, by the time GTA5 and the last of us had come out it was a clear winner for me
