Here's the deal... People are idiots. You all know this cos a great many of you are just that. Boobs and sex and tight rubber/leather/spandex suits on hideously deformed and uncanny looking polygons shaped like make believe women get young boys off. This excites them and makes them feel like they're privy to something their friends my not be. It gives the something to brag and fantasies about... It's sad and lame and pathetic, oddly deranged, when I see people drooling over Video game characters... It reminds me of the time I caught my ex girlfriends brother jerking off to a cartoon porno pic of Japanese Anime girls. I told everyone.

So sex sells and pubescent morons are the buyers.

As long as the "exploitation" of boobies doesn't turn everything into shovelware, how the hell are they seen as a negative thing?

As maybe you and most everyone who wasn't born in the late 90's knows, Tomb Raider was the breakthrough IP that ushered in this still-thriving trend of using big-breasted women as protagonists to obtain boys/young mens attention to a particular game. Tomb Raider in its day certainly was not a bad game and I have seen the Dead or Alive's out there that take the whole virtual boob physic schtick to ridiculous levels, but not all videogames with "BOOBS" necessarily are exploited and result in bad games.

Boobs are great...real boobs that is. Pretty silly to get excited about CG boobs programmed by horny nerds.

I'm sorry, but it's impossible to "overdo" boobs.

I'm not interested in the concept of chicks needing bigger breasts. chicks with small boobs can have tons of sex appeal, even more so than chicks with over sized ones. for me it's not at all a requirement. (for both games and in the real world.)

Frankly, i don't like the idea of walking with a chick that has a size 40 DD. the last thing i want on my mind is srtangers and onlookers already knowing the reason why i'm dating or talking to a chick who has that.

i just love how so many devs will put women in their games if they can be half naked but not so many bother with women if they'd be equal to the men in the game.
can't have women in shooters now can we, no women allowed in cod, moh, crackdown 2, warhawk, mag or brink, to name a few.
i don't mind them showing women as sexy in some games, because at least in most of those games, even though they usually have to wear very little they're the equal to the men in the game in most respects, they can kick arse as well as the men in the games.
let the men have something to drool over and we'll have a strong woman kicking arse and not bothering to take names :)

I wouldn't really consider it exploitation its just taking advantage of the average male mindset. I mean this kind of discussion is thrown everywhere: movies, television. Hell go to a bar and your bound to find at least one group of guys commenting on a woman's breast. So its not really that out of the ordinary that they would take this subject and implement it into a mainstream form of media. To try and make more money out of it. However this formula doesn't really work all the time for instance Dead or Alive: Beach Volleyball.
