Someone has figured out how to put Fallout 3 PC mods on the Xbox 360, which until now was impossible.

A remaster of Bethesda Game Studios' 2008 action role-playing game, Fallout 3, is planned for release at some point in the future.
Would be nice if they had New Vegas ready as well, especially because of the show.
Hopefully this doesn't have the same performance issues as Oblivion Remastered.
Throw in all the DLC as well, like Oblivion and I'll definitely bite. I recall having one trophy left to unlock on the PS3 version with 100+ hours in my save. When my save file got corrupted, lol. Very sad day.
To be fair though, Bethesda was trash at Playstation ports anyway.
Oh oh oh I can do this too. GTA 7 will be made at some point in the future. Fallout 5 will enter development in the future too
Everyone there should know most gamers want New Vegas and Morrowind more than anything.

Fallout Day's disappointing news that Fallout 4 is coming to Switch 2 is a shame, as this 17-year-old entry is more deserving of a new port.
Fallout 4 isn't the worst game in the franchise. It's either Fallout 76 or Fallout BOS that's the worst.
PC and all other modern consoles never got a remaster of 3, but obviously the switch 2 was the tipping point to make it a reality... ahuh
Meh, I thought 3 was garbage. I'm not a great fan of the franchise to be fair. They're like B-Movie films, really shallow and janky. 4 was definitely one of the better ones though.
So the article makes a snippy entitled statement and acts like that is going to encourage a publisher to give them what they want. Okay.

Fallout 3 game designer Bruce Nesmith explains that the upcoming remaster should revise the game's gunplay to be more modern.
Give us FO3 with all the dlc remastered like ESO. Load times faster, quality of life improvements, gun play improvements
I believe it shouldn't just be graphical they should make improvements where they can to make the game better. A simple face lift isn't what's needed
Still my favorite one. I remember getting a digital copy of FO3 when I got FO4(XBO). It was nice to finally play a stable version of the game. Then when I got a Series S it was an even better expierence. Quick resume and FPS boost made it feel like a whole new game. Updated gunplay would be very welcome though. One of the few things FO4 did better.
"Ok, I'll explain it the best I can. Firstly, I used xexloader to install fallout 3 to an external usb hd from the retail disc. (I already had the expansion packs installed) It would probably work just as well if you installed to the internal hd.
Anywhos... I then connected the hd to my computer where I used xextool to patch the xex to the latest version using the method outlined here.
Then, I edited the fallout3.ini as instructed by the "manual" instructions from this.
Then I took the contents of the mod and put them in their respective places in the fallout 3 directory.
I had noticed earlier that the title update container had an esp file in it so, i figured what the heck? Its a longshot, but ill give it a try. So....
Then, I used this guide to help me make a live container for the mods files. Im not sure what all I needed to put in it, so I just put everything in. The esp file and the folders. Just make sure you fill out the gameid and other stuff for fallout 3. Also, instead of telling it youre making a demo, select the "content" option. When that was all said and done, I had a shiny new live container. I just dropped it into the retail hd with the rest of the expansions.
After getting everything put back together, I loaded up fo3 through xexloader and what do ya know? My little "House Mod" showed up in the downloads list. :)
The first save I tried was a later save and it took a couple tries to get it to load. It wasnt until I tried an early one that everything seemed to load up and actually work.
Thats it! I hope someone can take this, make some sense of it, clean it up and streamline the process.
Have fun!"
Why not just play the PC version rather than go through that hassle?
Too much effort oh well least its some form of coup for 360 but PC has been doing it much better and easier for a long time.
if they was smart they would use they new found modding ability to do one over the ps3
all this guy has to do is make it into a downloadable .exe and gamers wont have to go through all that hassle. you take that .exe mod, burn it on to a disc and then presto, the 360 should read it as a patch for the game.
XNA is really good at helping people make their own little executable programs, he should lean of couple of them before having people start fiddling with their consoles.
just proof 360 is nothing more than a simplified PC with a server CPU
and the lack of RAM means any FO3 mods worth installing like hd textures will simply not run
