Driver 76 PSP review

If you missed it first time around, Driver 76 can offer some solace, in that its premise is based entirely around throwing of cars of the era around the corners of New York City.

The story, expertly presented in comic book fashion, pitches you as a wheelman with ideas above his station, and you're soon waiting for the first of 27 missions to start.

Koku Gamer: Driver '76 Review

Koku Gamer writes: "I remember playing the first Driver game on the Playstation and getting so infuriated with the car park training that I very nearly gave up at the start but I persevered and found a very enjoyable game underneath even if the final level was nigh-on impossible to beat. When Driver 2 was released it combined racing with on-foot action way before GTA III. Sadly though it proved to be too ambitious for the Playstation and was doomed from the start which gave Rockstar plenty of time to tweak GTA and then release GTA III and change the gaming world forever."

Sounds like Driver. The series has become synonymous with the word 'average'.

New Driver 76 PSP trailer and screens arrive

A new trailer and four new screens have just been released for Driver 76 for the PSP, which hits the shops tomorrow.

The game looks more impressive visually than either of the two previous GTA PSP outings – indeed, that it might even have the same uncanny knack for tapping easily into era-specific pop culture as Rockstar's efforts (an impressive feat if achieved).
