For those that remember the original series of Starsky & Hutch (rather than the more recent film), the new trailer for Driver 76 is likely to bring fond memories of the Striped Tomato and a smile to their wrinkly old faces.
Granted, the signature car of the popular series is nowhere to be seen, but the point is from what's been shown so far there's a groovy selection of 1970s vehicles to throw around the city and plenty of shooting to be done.

Koku Gamer writes: "I remember playing the first Driver game on the Playstation and getting so infuriated with the car park training that I very nearly gave up at the start but I persevered and found a very enjoyable game underneath even if the final level was nigh-on impossible to beat. When Driver 2 was released it combined racing with on-foot action way before GTA III. Sadly though it proved to be too ambitious for the Playstation and was doomed from the start which gave Rockstar plenty of time to tweak GTA and then release GTA III and change the gaming world forever."

If you missed it first time around, Driver 76 can offer some solace, in that its premise is based entirely around throwing of cars of the era around the corners of New York City.
The story, expertly presented in comic book fashion, pitches you as a wheelman with ideas above his station, and you're soon waiting for the first of 27 missions to start.
hmm. where's the trailer?
