I totally agree with hiphopgamer, mw2 is an arcade shooter with run and gun gameplay, terrible textures and its lack of improvement over mw is just sad. although i am more of a fan of the orginal bf series on pc, bf bc2 is shaping up to be a good addition to the series. I still hate how you cant go prone in bad company.

The video at IGN.com in HD truly shows the graphical awesomeness of the game. The only thing that will ruin the game though are the vehicles and helicopters. That's one of the reasons people like COD4 and MW2-no vehicles.

Battlefield was always better then COD, Just takes some people a little longer to realize.

i saw the video of bf bc2 today and i think it looks way better than mc2 but both will be great. imo mc2 is beat by bf bc2 in technical standard because of environment deformations, graphics, and vehicles. but i still think the shooting in mc2 is overall better and smoother somtimes i got no idea where my bullits are going in bfbc. i gota agree with hip hop on this one. btw that new trailer was amazing. i hated how the first game u hit a wall and the whole thing would go now u can chip away at it amazing.

To me it looks outdated, graphics wise that is. There's Plenty of games that look better than MW2. Infinity Ward is doing the same thing that Bungie has done to their graphics, just recycle them.

Thank you guys so much for your comments now let me ask you guys this ok in real war if there's a sniper in the house and you can't get a clear shot at him but you have a rocket launcher just shoot the rocket launcher at the house and level it that will kill him, and that also means that snipers can't camp out and win all the time they actually have to work for their kills, all that represents bad company 2.

Modern warfare 2, you can shoot a rocket launcher but it has to hit that person or somewhere near the person which is much harder to do yet it doesn't make sense considering the power a rocket launcher has, also in modern warfare 2, you can camp out literally forever in different places until someone is lucky enough to spot you and even then you have to try and throw a grenade or be lucky enough to catch him back. Modern warfare 2 is a great game but you have to understand that in terms of realism modern warfare is more of an arcade game compared to bad company 2

From what I have seen MW2 looks a damn site better than COD4 and that says a lot! COD4 was more than just great looking in so many ways MW2 has a lot to live up to.

although i am really excited about mw2, i have to say that bc2 looks like it's shaping up to be a better game. mag looks interesting but i want to see more gameplay.

as far as being better than COD the 3 battlefields on next gen have been better than cod simply because you were always able to fly a heli with passengers the first one let u parachute out of em, drive a boat, tank,and jeep. call in an airstrike at a pinpoint location laser designate a tank i could go on and on how battlefield is better but some people like running around in little mouse traps sending dogsfor free kills nothing wrong with that just try any bad company understanding this aint no backyard fight this is a fight in an open world where u can get shot from a mile away from a real sniper or bombed by artillery by a real person dropping bombs on that site or a tank controlled by real person from a mile away dropping a shell in ur face dont knock it til u try it i played call of duty beat em ranked up and all but the battlefield calls me back where the wars are faught ps the ps3 is straight cause the technology is still moving forward but original ps3 players have lost alot of time and they know it only new owners can really say they feel good cause things are pretty much equal however party chat is a must just like cross game chatting ur not 100 percent there yet sony and me as a gamer and a buisness viewpoint feel that u let the gamers down especially since all the blu ray talk is is nul in void since i can download blu ray movies at any torrent site and watch it via xbox or straight pc to tv . and blu ray games are not all that cause the geeks know 1080p kicks in on 50 inch or more

BF BC, was good, although I must say the campaign was absolutely horrid. COD MW was a much better all around game. The next installments, however look up for grabs. I'll be picking these both up.

Bad Company was a good game I played almost everyday online since release. I cannot wait for BC2. But still love the Modern Warefare series.

Sorry guys. I want to take a quick side note from this topic to briefly discuss the HiphopGamer Show. This is like my first time watching it and I miss say its like listening to a rd grader give his opinions about game. As a fan of hiphop, it really shames me to have this individual embrace the negative stereotypes that are always been thrown at hiphoppers which are dumb talking and poor reasoning skills. I'm seriously thinking about creating my OWN hiphop themed game "show", to show Mr. HiphopGamer and others that you don't have to use ebonics with only 1 and 2 syllable words to sound cool...oh and actually base rumors around some facts and not just dream them up. Now back on topic. I just seen the BF2 video and it looks breath taking. While I can't discredit MW2....I will say that BF2 is something that I'm REALLY excited about.

Modern Warfare has a provided a fun and familiar game with small upgrade.

Battlefield seems to have gone the extra mile to make it's series Better. Offers more of a variety.

With that said, EA, sucks at support and fixes for the Games.

Now when KZ2 came out all people kept talking about was how heavy the game felt. They said it didn't move or feel like MW. They also said that graphics does not make a game better. Is that because KZ2 was only on the PS3? Now when Battlefield comes out and from what I see has the same type of feel as KZ2 what will the haters of KZ2 say.

obviously MAG, MW2, BFBC2 are all different types of FPS.

Mag is going for a unique command structure like the U.S Army and with 256 players.

MW2 is going for the twitch gameplay with upgradeable perks. In all MW2 seems more of an arcade style of FPS. (IMO)

BFBC2 is going for destruction with a hint of upgrades and some KZ2 and TF2 touches.

I have a ps3 and had a 360 (RRoD).. but i think in terms of which game is better i think it'll go like this BFBC2 > MAG> MW2.

-Simply because BFBC2 is basically going to have a massive overhaul to the physics, and graphics department.

-Mag will, like I stated before, the largest multiplayer game on consoles with a unique game style.

- MW2 is last, because there's is little graphical improvement, and the only thing they added is more customization and upgradable perks. The only plus i see is a new single player.

In conclusion, MW2 will most likely have the most players, because of all the hype, however, on the ps3 version i can see MAG outnumbering the ps3 version of MW2. If and only if EA advertises there game a bit like MW2 they can severely damage CoD's vast kingdom.

*edit* i forgot to mention that MAG is still in beta and you can expect there to be a huge overhaul in the graphics department. I do agree the game looks bland in that department but its just beta. There has already been a graphics upgrade which did a really nice job and i expect to see more of those as we approach release date.

Infinity Ward’s community manager, Robert Bowling, has revealed in a new interview that the studio’ next game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, won’t include the use of vehicles in the multiplayer mode:

“We never put vehicles in multiplayer,” said Bowling. “Our focus is on fast-paced infantry combat, where you’re never reliant on transportation. This statement seems to fly in the face of previous entries to the Call of Duty series, including Treyarch’s World at War, which included tank combat into multiplayer proceedings – an addition that many players seemed to think soured the experience.

Modern Warfare 2 does, however, include more extensive use of air-based vehicles in multiplayer, mainly to gain an aerial advantage over your opponents rather than fly where-ever you want and cause havoc:

MW was overrated. If BF2 has co-op through the mission, it beats the highly linear MW2 easily.

lawrence, you obviously haven't played bfbc1 cuz u don't know wtf you're talking about. you can't pilot the helis/gunships in mw2. who cares if you get to sit in a ac130 and click where you want to shoot? right now, you're coming off as if you think the "vehicles" in mw2 are better than the vehicles in bfbc.

btw, another point hhg didn't touch on was the sound. sound effects in bfbc1 were amazing and it's expected that they will be better in the 2nd. bfbc doesn't need a background soundtrack of guns firing off when it's too quiet. every sound has a source, just like that helicopter that was flying around in the video.

don't even get at me about mw having more game modes. gold rush/rush IS team deathmatch, headquarters, and search and destroy all in one game mode. conquest IS domination. huh. what is bfbc missing? old-school mode? ...

this video is gameplay from bfbc2 as it is right now. DICE still has 5 months of tidying up the game. besides, DICE is working on bf3, so some ideas may sneak over to bfbc.

Day 1 supporter of the BF franchise since my first copy of BF2(pc). It's not surprising how DICE elevated their game engine from Bad Company1.

To say BFBC2 is better then MW2 is pretty silly. One is a more arcade based/tactical shooter and the other is a more strategic vehical based and squad based shoorter. i play both BF and COD, i got over 500 hours in 1942, less then 200 in BF 2, and about 300 in BFBC. For COD1 i got like 300 hours and COD4 i got well over 400. Add me, my name is EDMIX on PSN if you want to see my COD4 and BFBC1 stats. COD is more arcade and more fast past. In any COD match i can get like 23 kills or 60, i've even got 120 in a single 10 minute match. Its more about fast past skill and fun then BF. BF i would be happy wtih 20 or more kills, in a 30 to 40 minuite match, some times i would get like 40 kills in a hour long match. Its more about team work, its a little slower which is good cause of how you play the game. The classes are REAL classes. Not having a support to give life and a sniper to take down tanks and other snipers can literly cause you a match. In COD4 thats NEVER the case, which is good.

I'm stoked for MW 2 because I played COD 4, still do, and by all accounts they've taken what was great and added more to it so it's a day one for me. Bad Company 2 has to impress the hell out of me with a hell of a lot more than a video because I played the first one and it was horrible. WAY too many bullets to drop someone. Depending on a team that most likely won't have mics to drop ammo and medipacs? No thanks. No discernible way to tell where you're getting shot from? No thanks. I don't play these games for realism. I play for fun. Bad Company wasn't fun. COD4 was.

I love how everyone ignores the existance of KZ2 and how it thumps everyone of these games in every possible reguard (Bar destructability, which yes, BC takes hands down).

People who hate it should try playing it with an open mind and the controls set to alternate 2 (I think.... Its MW but awesome)

You can stay alive a lot longer in BF because of how open the game is. But in COD is because its more arcade, you need to be able to have what we call "conflict zones" or "hot areas" were you can shoot or be shot. Its what keeps it fast past, you can't be fast past in a mutiplayer game with about 3 miles worth of map,BUT you can be strategic with a 3 mile map. Its simply why MW and BF CAN'T be compared. There just too different. i play BFBC for a totally different reason then i play COD4. I don't run'n'gun in BFBC (nice way to get yourself shot) and i don't sit back to strategieze in COD4. When i want to feel like Solid Snake and own entire teams like a one man army, its COD4. When i want to run in a teams base with a tank, just before 2 other teammates drop morters from above in a full on blizkreg then its BFBC. You won't play either game for the same reasons, like you would GT and Forza or NFS Undrground and Burnout. Tanks don't belong on MW, just like small maps don't belong on BFBC, they do on MW.

I never down played BBC2 , its obvious your way to high to respond or your just in love with HHG ..... COD 4 was epic and BBC1 was not, I have not played either sequels so I will not judge them but HHG does more then just judge he tells you witch is the better of the two without even playing the games and that's not journalism that being DUSHBAG

Vehicles suck in FPS games,thats why MW1 and W@W (got rid of them in hardcore) really do not feature "armored diapers" for the noob campers.Battlefield Bad Company sucked because everybody flew heli's and camped in tanks or stayed in the spawn at the mortar guns LOL. Battlefield 1943 is an indication of what BC2 is going to be and I think is going to be epic. I love the video pure and real modern warfare.

I really like MW1 and looking forward MW2. I was posting the death of Modern Warfare for a while. Ever since the showing of the first MW2 game play trailer, my heart sunk. I started seeing flashes of Vegas 2 and now ODST. These nice little extra infinity ward put up are nice, but come on. Made be I'm being to hard on MW2. The pressure Activation puts on them, this is what you get. Maybe if they didn't have put it out in two or so years, maybe it would have been better. Battle FIELD is going to be better as long as they get more game types and fix the mics. But we'll see.

Was done one old BC engine. So it is going to be super epic.

On topic: Even if BC2 has much better gameplay or graphics than MW2, it will never sell as much or be seen as better by many gamers. You cannot dethrone the Modern Warfare series. Just remember this is all my opinion.

As far as i can remember there was no prone in Battlefield:Bad Company which makes no sense to me....

Out of the 3 games MAG, Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield BC 2, I will be only buying 2 of them and I'll be getting them on my PS3 as I prefer the pad for FPS games (when I'm not on the PC).

The one I won't be buying is MAG, I played the Beta and I just don't like the game, it looks last generation and the gameplay was a frag fest and goes a long way to explaining why FPS games with 256 players in them didn't exist before MAG.

Modern Warfare 2 will carry me through to Battlefield Bad Company 2 quite nicely.

I'm looking forward to MAG, MW2, L4D2 and BC2 but...

i played mag and its nowhere near as exciting or as good a call of duty, and the graphics are garbage. and i doubt that MW2 will be beat. battlefield looks good and i might buy it but i have been having a lot of fun with call of duty recently

Just a much better game all around, not as many players bought this game in the start so they had a smaller pool of players to begin with but for the people that played many hours of both games there was never a contest as to which game had better play. BFBC walked all over COD4 in terms of gameplay and I can only imagine BFBC2 will do the same with Modern Warfare 2. I played many hours of both games and BFBC was one of my all time favorites, not saying COD4 wasn't good because it is great as well as COD WAW is a great game but not on the same play level as BFBC.

Every game caters to a different style of gamer, and in my opinion, MW2 definitely the better title. BF:BC2 does look good, but the customization and style of MW2 ia just more appealing to me. MAG looks really good too. I'll be buying all three to get a better formed opinion.

they are really 2 very different games. its like saying GT is better then Burnout, when the people that play Burnout and NFS are not playing to realisticlly drive a car. Its like comparing Twisted Metal to GT cause both games have cars. COD4 is like burnout to BFBC is like GT. One is a arcade shooter, the other is a realistic military shooter. BF's aim is to give the full squad team experience to gamers, were COD's aim is to give gamers a almost Rambo like online experience. Were i can run'n'gun a whole team if done right. Or in BF, come up with a plan to capture a area by laying mines near the entrance before i capture it, with a support class team mate for life if i get shot at. I play GT to drive realisticllly, i play NFS to drive fast and wrecklessly. Why would anyone play COD4 with the same mindset that they play BF or vice versa? They can't be compare morons, its a unfare comparison. COD4 is ment to be unrealistic and fast past. Its why it has air strikes, as a reward and not a option.

This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

That said, there are usually multiple sides to decisions at that level. It could be less about not “listening” and more about differences in long-term vision for PlayStation. If true, and I'm inclined to believe it is, it goes to show that Sony lost their way when they became more western/didn't respect the PlayStation origin story. I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.
