inFamous is better than all open world games except for gta4 its better than crackdown even and i liked crackdown because of the black character he had a nice haircut

After i just finished infamous i have to give it the nod. One of the most fun experiences i have had this gen. I immediately started up another game to see the other missions (played through as the hero first time around).

i haven't played all of prototype yet but form what i have prototype jsut feel like a hulk game with some overly played out badass. it fun but it doesn't feel like a unique experience infamous just feels fresh and different

*Points to title* Man, inFamous is just so good. Just listening to the first discussion about the game made me want to just stop reading and go fire the game up again. I had so much fun with the game, I played it over the moment I finished it, getting my first Platinum. Great times. one of my favorite games this gen.

I think inFAMOUS is a better and more complete game but I have to admit that I like Prototype more coz it's just more fun than Infamous.

Just finished inFamous and it was great. I'm gonna play as a bad guy next.

inFamous to make sure I got it on day one. I have to say that there are some aspects of inFamous that I find redundant like alot of the missions and such. However, on the whole this game makes up for mission redundancy with it's absolutely awesome game-play and solid mechanics. I don't care how good a story is or how "varied" missions are in a game; if the basic game-play mechanics (controls, fun-factor, camera angles, etc.) aren't there the game just doesn't warrant a purchase for me. This is what inFamous nails to the wall. The mechanics and the powers are just simply superb and feel absolutely perfect to me so in the end I have to say that this is an excellent game albeit a tad bit redundant and cliche. If you like blowing stuff up and feeling like an all-powerful superhero (or villian) and don't want to have to put up with glitches, bad camera angles, or other game mechanic problems, then go buy inFamous. Sucker Punch has put together an extremely polished game that deserves ALOT of attention.

This is all I have to say,

Critics have different taste and it shows in their reviews. Critics sometimes have very different personalities like Miller and Brudvig.

If you ever listen to the IGN podcasts it's definitely apparent:

Greg Miller is a very hyper, loud, and sometimes funny person who seems to love what he does: play videogames. He seems honest about how he truly feels about the game. He's not stuck up like the latter.

Brudvig is a smug cynical person who is rather demeaning in all of his reviews. But unlike Yahtzee who is both funny and has quite the intellect Brudvig is just cold and lacking depth. If it's not perfect to him then it's sh!t even if he gives it a decent score. He's like professor Snape from Harry Potter.

Now I think Infamous is a greater game as a whole. Prototype seems like everything went into the main character who is just a killing machine with no remorse. It feels great playing him but everything else in the game just feels bland and archaic.

Both are a lot of fun and are very different gameplay wise.

i love infamous and currently playing through for 2nd time as bad guy. this game is a solid 9 in my book

Infamous(ps3 exclusive) is a better game, better story, better graphics, better control, ...prototype is just that, a "prototype" of a game that is better!

You get both games anyway. ;o

PROTOTYPE is the game I keep going back to, awesome... Infamous, it's just ok...

I have inFAMOUS and Prototype (360) and I think they are both great.

I'm surprised that Prototype doesn't have as much pop in as other games and inFAMOUS as that extra layer of polish.

So if someone can only get one I don't think they will be disappointed by either inFAMOUS or Prototype.

inFamous in just about every facet of a game. Really now, it's just way more polished and at the very least doesn't sport PS2 graphics.

the graphics go to INFAMOUS without doubt BUT the fun factor definetly lies with PROTOTYPE .to by honest though neither game looks that amazing imo esp. considering infamous is an exclusive

I really thought Prototype would be the better game, but boy was I wrong. Infamous is the most fun I've had with a game in years. By far the best open world game I've played. Prototype on the other hand was a huge disappointment

the next 14 days on my ps3 and i think infamous has already one before i begin to play it

Both for PS3, both great, but given Infamous a break on the second island to play through Prototype a bit. Lets just say; from what I played of Prototype, I'm looking forward to the future of the franchise.

Greg Miller just summed up how crappy prototype is.

i really didnt think i was going to like infamous as much as i did....but wow! great game all around IMO.Got prototype a couple of days ago...its a great game...but near on the same calibur as infamous..story is bad plain boring...its to the point where i just dont care.They throw a crazy amount of things at you that it gets more frustrating then fun.Its just not a polished game.

Are we really still comparing these two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT games? Seriously, they're really different. Just because they're superhero sandbox games doesn't make them comparable. So far, I'm having more fun with Prototype. But you can tell inFAMOUS is more polished and is shaping up to have a great story. Nothing has blown me away yet, but that's because I've just started playing inFAMOUS and I've nearly finished Prototype.

All in all, these games are totally different and you shouldn't even compare them.

I would create Prototype 3 before this great gem of a game
but yes love to see it continue !

A new Infamous being produced in this current agenda stricken videogame climate would probably just be a disaster.
