It doesn't. But there it is anyway, in my face after every single mission and every single shoot-out, keeping count as if it mattered. Prototype is full of things that don't matter. In fact, I'd say it consists almost entirely of things that don't matter. It's a worst-case example of how to do an open-world action game: Create an uninspired Devil May Cry fighting system with a dozen different types of punches, create a set of linear scripted missions, and then build around them a lot of pointless filler. Open-world shouldn't mean inconsequential. Freedom shouldn't mean aimless. And variety is never a stand-in for game design. Ultimately, these are the things that made me yell at my cat. Twenty hours with a game this poorly made will put anyone in a bad mood".

From Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Batman: Arkham City to breakout hit Dispatch and new Marvel Cosmic Invasion, these are 10 of the best superhero games you can play today.

Not all video game protagonists are sweet, jolly, or wholesome. Folks like Agent 47 are cold, ruthless, and reserved and it shows.
Ah, fond memories of strangling all the people in their hotel rooms in Hitman 1
Lara Croft, Nathan Drake etc, cos they pretend to be the good guys but are mass murderers that show no remorse.

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.
It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny
Armored Core VI?
Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.
Is something big coming soon to branch the story?
No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).
Best open world game this year hands down. 8.5 on Gamespot, 8.6 on Gametrailers.
I just beat every mission today and it was worth the $60 I saved.
