I have them both and they are both good games. I also got Red faction which is great. All super games in their own ways.

I thought Prototype would be better, but after playing both I can honestly say Infamous slaughters the competition. Easily the best open world game I've ever played.

I wonder when we're going to start to see Crackdown vs. Infamous.

prototype is hulk and it looks like sh!t

I get the feeling that prototype should have been so much better where as Infamous was much better than I thought it would be.

Cant wait to buy Prototype but with Fight Night Round 4 coming out soon so Proto will probably get pushed back a bit for me.

All I can say is that quit trying to compare both games with each other and just play them. Each game has their ups and downs that if they made a sequel to both games hopefully they fix them.

inFamous was fun to play and my hands are itching to play Proto.

having my copy of inFAMOUS it reminds me of how awesome the PS3 is.

I bought Infamous and Prototype is a mere rental. Great article. Endsights informs you that InFamous is about twice as long as prototype! The graphics and controls are better on InFamous. So there you have it. Crapbox boys, you can keep this (prototype) game and notch another one for the PS3 fanboys!

I hate alex. He sounds like some Native American from the Reservations. Hes a pretty gay super hero. I just wish this game had more detail. New York in this game feels really dull. All the buildings are the same. I would give this game a 7.9

got a chance to play both infamous is much longer and has a better story but prototype is every thing i loved about hulk ultimate distraction but with some new stuff witch is not bad but not worth 60 bucks it worth a rent though +with infamous you get a multi player demo not beta but demo witch is still good thats just my opinion

Infamous simply gets extremely repetitive about half way.

i've reviewed both, and i'm working on my own comparison for my site, but the truth is that inFAMOUS blows Prototype away in terms of style, character (as in, the game has a unique personality behind it), playability, and fun factor.

Prototype, to me, feels too much like Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, with a more cumbersome control scheme. i think that web-slinging through the city is more fun than his glide ability. i also think Cole's ability to grind on rails and powerlines much cooler.

if anything really sets the games apart, it's the control scheme. inFAMOUS has a damn near flawless control system. sticky climbing aside, no other sandbox game out there feels as good. period.

Prototype feels clumsy and unpolished, and combat simply isn't nearly as fun, and generally just devolves into button mashing, because there are so many enemies attacking you at once that you can't formulate any kind of strategy other than "Hulk Smash!." i mean, "Alex Smash!"

the similarities to Hulk: Ultimate Destruction are quite blatant also. inFAMOUS has some Sly similarities, but they are less blatant than the Hulk similarities in Prototype. hell, both games even take place in the same New York we've played around in for ages now, and the city is still as lifeless and bland as it was in the PS2 game.

visuals, mission variety, controls, story, gameplay, inFAMOUS takes it hands down. Prototype is enjoyable for a very short time, but it gets old really, really fast.

Red Faction stomps all over Prototype.

I have a feeling the movie will turn out bad like every other movie based on a video game.

But this article compares the two games perfectly, Prototype is an awesome but inFamous is an awesome QUALITY game, to the average video game store visit if you seen a clip of prototype and then infamous the uninformed consumer would buy prototype cause it would woo you with its violence, but infamous is a much better game, much longer, and offers atleast reasons enough for 2 play throughs if not 3.

Of course Infamous is better Prototype. Prototype is basically just a rehashed Hulk: Ultimate Destruction game with a few changes like characters, environment, & story but it basically has everything that H:UD had.

tho i think cole would own him. even if alex moves very fast, also any car or thing alex throws at cole, cole can just reflect back with shock wave.

also alex isnt to accurate with his running on walls, cole cud hide very well lol.

and to fools who say cole dies by water, he does not die instantly, in puddles he barley gets hurt, in some wasit deep water u still live but u HAVE to get out fast. so remarks about him dying from his own tears makes no sense, tho its funny lol.

and coles giga watt blades rock, but alex is way better at close range.

I'm on my second playthrough of Infamous. I almost have all the trophies. I loved the game.

I'm getting either Red Faction or Prototype. If anyone has any reccomendations, please.

I have both Infamous and Prototype(PS3). They are both very good games. Glad I got them. Also got Red faction which is great. All 3 of those games are good in different ways. Its been a great month for gamers but it does cost too much when games you want come out at the same time.

I got both, enjoyed both but Infamous is the better game. On my second play thru (evil this time), Prototype was good but not compelled to play thru again. Oh and I'd take Alex and Cole at the same time.

I would create Prototype 3 before this great gem of a game
but yes love to see it continue !

A new Infamous being produced in this current agenda stricken videogame climate would probably just be a disaster.
