I really have no idea whether to buy this game or not, well at least it coming out in 2008, it gives me another game to buy in that year. Most of the really good games are coming out this year.

Its hard to get excited over a couple of stills from a game thats far from finished. Wow, so the developers can put together some nice looking backdrops however, will the backdrops mean a huge sacrifice in other areas of the game. For instance, will we see dozens of characters walking around (or will it be just the typical 2 or 3 at a time like Gears of War). Will it be another sub 10 hour game?

Sorry, I guess I'm just sick to death of game stills - until I see some actual gameplay footage I'm not interested. Heck, I was rendering similar stills to this back on my Commodore Amiga back in the 80's.

Anyway, since it's a Remedy game, chances for Alan Wake to turn out anything but a huge success are infinitesimal.

From what little info that was given about this action thriller its set to be a AAA for sure.

The story sounds intriguing, the environments are immersive and well-realized, and if the gameplay is worthwhile, then this will definitely be a must-have. Unfortunately, it looks like it'll be early '08 before this gets out.

wow just wow the 3rd picture is awesome looking. To any of the haters on here this game's storyline is phenomonal and comes from a fantastic developer, I dont think a game running around a 3 yr development time period would suck. I'm not saying it's the next godsend of a game but the story looks spot on, the graphics look great, and my overall belief in this title being AAA is high unless someone tells me differently.

developed by Remedy makers of max payne so it should be a good game, could be another flop sale-wise and it will not help sell any gaming systems but a good game anyways since its coming to PC i will be playing this game with superior graphics on my Vaio hope its good and theres alot to do here.

The pics look great, the story story alone is enough to draw me in, yeah its not coming until early 2008 but thats kind of good news with so many great games scheduled to release in 2007. I need a little time to enjoy some of my personal favorites coming for the 360 and before you know it....I will be out of another $60 when Halo3 drops. Any game released in the same time period will be "overshadowed" by Halo's popularity so I think most dev's will want to give Halo3 a little space if you know what I mean.

but i would want to se a bit more of the actual gameplay. It`s from Remedy, so i`ll know it`s probably going to be a good game, but still, it would be nice to see how it plays. A bit more variation than the Max Payne games, would be cool.

Why waste money on a game where Alan Wake isn’t in it for a good part of the game. Also, since you don’t own the game and they can cut you off at anytime why would you buy that many. Unless she was going to resell them for a profit, charity give away, or something like that.
