Looks like Alone in the Dark...

Anyway downloading it day one.

It really was an impressive showing. The atmosphere was amazing, the animation really fluid and I really was kept on the edge of my seat the entire time. I'm looking forward to the game. Hope the use of light isn't a shallow gimmick.

This game may be the best...er is going to be the best looking open world game out there. This game SHOULD be receive almost perfect scores across the board if it actually lives up to what it is.

I really don't see how this could fail. Off topic though I really hope they release ff14 close behind the pc and ps3 launch. This is going to be huge if they can pull off this cross platform gaming between the three. If they pull this off properly this could be bigger than WOW, I say that because the only way to play WOW is through pc,but imagine a world filled with ps3, 360, and pc gamers.

The graphics are very,very good.....

However listen to the sound efects and the incidental music - thats whats truly outstanding.

This more than anything can make a game in the genre 'feel' good to play.

Looks like Alan is wide awake. Without a doubt one of the best looking console games this gen. I love the classic horror strings they use when enemies spot you. Can't wait to play this gem!

I see no reason why we could not have a FF14 network with PS3 360 and PC linked, why not.

why does "use the light" on the wall suddenly disappear and the hole in the wall is a different shade than the walls on either side? Why does the can roll over all kinds of debris on the ground but it doesn't change its path or even register the different levels on the ground.

i know im nit picking but apparently killzone 2 had some weak textures and the ps3 can't pull off anti aliasing properly.

In all seriousness though, the game does have good graphics and seems to have a good story line, but im really not interested in playing it. I thought the game was gonna be real horror oriented and it honestly looks exactly like Alone in the Dark, Alan even looks like Edward Carnby. I think my little brother is gonna buy it so i'll play his copy when i go visit him.

An HD video of Alan Wake. Damn it! too bad I'm stuck at work and it'll be another 5 hrs before I get off. I could already imagine Alan Wake being one of those classic games people will reference in the future, just like Silent Hill 1&2 when it comes to horror games.

2010 is looking amazing for 360 and PS3 owners :-)

Just look how vivid that smoke looks and the glare of of Alan's back as he walks by.

LOL it looks average, infamous looks much better as far as open world games go. As for character models, it's fugly. Uncharted and Heavy Rain annihilate it, even infamous which is open world and Gears and Killzone, both of which have ugly characters, like Alan Wake but not as bad

Yeah, I've been saying this since the footage came out Alan In the Dark. Doesn't look any better and for a game that was suppose to be hyped to hell and back for its graphics this is tremendously disappointing.

I'm still going to get the game for PC since I learned my lesson when I bought Mass Effect for Xbox.

ps-killzone 2 is the MOST and i do mean MOST over rated game i have evr had the misfortune to purchase,the campaign is soooo boring!
And as for those amazing graphics,where is all the AA?Jaggy jaggy!

This game outshines anything on console in terms of graphics and lighting, and to think they still have a year left in development for spit shine and polish.

Why waste money on a game where Alan Wake isn’t in it for a good part of the game. Also, since you don’t own the game and they can cut you off at anytime why would you buy that many. Unless she was going to resell them for a profit, charity give away, or something like that.
