Echochrome launched on the PlayStation 3 and PSP a little more than a year ago, and it broke my brain. The game looked simple -- there was no color and you were a feature-less mannequin -- but it was this brain cell-burning puzzle that had you getting your one dude from Point A to Point B by rotating the world, using black holes, and basically living in an M.C. Escher drawing. It was a scene, man.
Now, Echochrono is exclusively storming the PSP from ARToon.
With the launch of the PSPgo in Japan this Sunday, it seems that we will be getting a fresh crop of demos and games to go along with it. Continuing reading to see what awaits on the Japanese PlayStation Store this weekend.
WorthPlaying contacted SCEA to find out if it planned to match the PSPgo Rewards program announced by SCEE this morning and was told that Sony had no plans at this time to match the European offer.

This is sad .. the Euros are getting stuff, and here in the US they havent even figured out the UMD issue yet either.

Like the Escher drawings on which it was inspired, the cerebral puzzle play of download-only echochrome could be seen as a brilliant game or frustrating endeavour . There's one point to be conceded regardless of your view on the game and that's it's uniqueness. That inventive spirit yields a successor in echochrono, another frustratingly brilliant puzzler that is sure to tickle some brains and have other scratching their heads.
Yes! I knew that short clip in the E3 conference was Echochrome related. Awesome!
