Prototype vs. HULK. These games are developed with the same engine, both take place in NYC, coincidence or laaaazy? you decide and both have helicopters and very similar mechanics. I watched both of these vids at the same time and I even think they reused the sounds from HULK in Prototype. One things for sure, if you loved HULK your gonna loooooooooooooove Prototype.

I don't know why people really care. It's not like prototype is an exclusive so it's one vs the other.

I was going to do something like this for a N4G blog post once I played both the games. I'm a fan of both games though and I have pre-ordered and will be playing both this summer.

Though i have to admit I am jealous of Ps3 owners.

As they do get to play both game's while us 360 owners (I'll be getting a Ps3 sometimes this year so I'll get to play Infamous eventually) will only get to play Prototype.

While i can see the reason why people are saying Prototype is better because they only get to play that one and not inFamous (jealousy i believe it's called) there's still no need for any of this.

I can buy both, but, I'm getting inFamous next Friday and Prototype when there's more of a lull.

I played the demo for infamous and thought it was okay, like an 8/10(GTA4 was more fun and better as an open world game IMO) but since I'm on a budget, I'll have to wait and try out prototype first before deciding which one to get...

Definitely getting inFamous when it's released this week. But Prototype looks cool too. If the reviews are favorable I'll probably pick that up too later.

The two game are similar in some areas, but also quite different. They are both open world super powered main character story driven games. But Prototype has gore and guns, while inFamous is more classic comic book hero stuff...

Infamous played the demo and enjoyed it.

Both games are very good. And the best option is the buy both

..they can't really be compared? One is balls out destruction and / or stealh play...

The other is more of a Moral super hero power type...maybe they complement eachother.

I'm buying both. I really liked the infamous demo so I absolutely have to play the full game, can't wait to see how the karma system plays out with the story for myself. Also the from the vids so far Prototype looks like Crackdown on steroids, seems to be a interesting story there too, my kind of game. I love open-world games and both look like they will be great. If you have a ps3 and the money of course imo it would be crazy not to buy both, if you dont have the money then buy 1 you're most interested in and rent the other. If you only have a 360 then looks like you get to play only 1 of 2 really great games, unless you buy a ps3.

Does prototype have a demo?

Both looks awesome, but only can buy one game a month, might get prototype first and then infamous. Both games deserve to be play i think.

Its funny how some people in this thread are quick to label the person writing this a fanboy just because he favored inFAMOUS...now if it was the other way around 360 owners would be jumping for joy....get a life people....both games are going to be good, the inFAMOUS demo was pure awesome, actually its great to be PS3 owner because you have the opportunity to play BOTH these games...and if you don't own a PS3...get one or find a friend that does!

What Radical needs to do is release a demo so one can actually see if the game has more than enough to go against Infamous. Sucker Punch did a great job by releasing a demo, they had more than enough confidence in their title and that same confidence has paid off big..........many many great reviews(a few haters that more than likely dont know how to access the power upgrade tab so they give it a bad rating *cough* press start foo *cough*.)and lots of reservations.

I just finished inFAMOUS and have no need for another superhero game, maybe if Prototype goes down to 15-20 bucks.

Prototype doesn't look like a full price title to me.

Is anyone with a PS3 even interested in Prototype? It looks like crap to me. I've played the inFAMOUS demo and loved it to death. The gameplay is just pure fun. Are there even any impressions on Prototype? I just don't get where the comparison could possibly come from other than system wars silliness.

Also GTA4 didnt suck it was amazing. It just took a different direction like all the GTA games do. This one was a little less silly then the last and more emotionally involving. The game did deserve the tens it got and nothing less. Just because you dont like its style doesnt make it a bad game. The cell phone thing was awesome and no developer could have thought to be that clever. The only beef that I actually had was the mission types were limited but fun.

No matter the quality of Infamous, it has definitely benefited from being a PS3 exclusive. Similar to Killzone 2, the Sony review strategy is simple. Provide a review embargo, cater to a handful of sites, and ensure the world exclusive E-review is immensely positive. The other PS3 friendly sites who want future coverage will follow suit. In the case of Infamous, it does appear the game quality may not have need the push as the demo reaction has been truly positive. The reviews were as expected and have been plastered on the front page of N4g.com. Although, there is one review that wont make it to N4G.com and that is Eurogamer, who bucked the system and gave the game a 7 out of 10 (70%).

Prototype: In my book, this game literally was put on the map by the infamous (pun intended) '10 reasons to buy Prototype' trailer. That trailer showed off an unbelievable array of powers, that have not been seen thus far in video game history. The PS3 detractors are all over the net screaming how 'Proto' is a rip off of Ultimate Hulk. This is ultimately (pun intended) because of the developers past work. But, you could easily say that Infamous is a mixture of Crackdown, Spiderman 2, and Star Wars: Force Unleashed.

The PS3 websites, bloggers, and fans will lean towards Infamous. If it truly is as good as the early hype, then it'll be interesting to see if the PS3 fanbase supports this game. But we all know the underlying reason for the extra push.

But, for the rest of the gaming world (PS3 owners included) Prototype has a real chance to push big Multi-platform numbers on both systems. The detractors will not scare anyone away by claiming that the game is some how graphically incompetent or that the plot is non-existent. Because, the early word from THIS game is that neither are true and that eyebrows will be permanently raised in June.

From what I have read Prototype just seems more multifaceted game. It is a standard Scifi story, the amnesiac that wakes up with strange powers and a shady government organization that seems to be the cause.

Prototype also has a standard scifi storyline. just not as appealing.

Infamous has been getting very good reviews all round.
So glad I got PS3 can get both.

In Prototype, you consume people and learn more about your past. When you do the consuming, you are given flashes of memory back and it's told through a cutscene. http://www.gametrailers.com... That is how the story is driven.

At gametrailers alone, there's FIFTY ONE videos for Prototype. So those of you who have been saying there's no gameplay out there... nice try.

Honestly, and I hate to even point this out... you're damaging PS3, by hyping inFamous over Prototype. The multiplatform sales will be skewed and it will be all your faults. Think on that for awhile, before you reply back.

This shouldn't even be a military checkpoint in the "console war". But I guess we're pitting exclusives against multiplats now. Way to go "gamers". Has there been a demo for prototype? I can attest that I have played the InFAMOUS demo through 4 times now, and it leaves me wanting more. I can't wait until this weekend.

Prototype on the other hand, is looking pretty questionable IMO. Looks more like a 7.0 type game, but that's just my opinion without playing it.

InFamous has loads of platforming.

Prototype does not, and seems to be more of a "beat 'em up" kind of game.

To be totaly honest I havant even touched anything to do with Prototype, sure like any other gamer interested in newer games I have watched the CA trailer, but honestly it seems moronic none the less, Prototype seems to show more gore and killing much like 99.9% of all other games out there, then teres inFamous, you honestly cant stop being entertained, the little secrets you find out along the way are what makes the game amazing, (SPOILER) if you jump onto the train tracks in inFamous you jet forward as if your riding on a high wire. Thats the only one ill reveal but still, WOW is that game fun.

still though, wait tel i play prototype, am totally looking forward to it because i love thinking that my opinion right now can be COMPLETELY changed by one game session, so just wait tel i get my hands on Prototype.

I would create Prototype 3 before this great gem of a game
