ArenaNet announced two more titles in their Guild War franchise.
The developer has also confirmed a full sequel to Guild Wars, and expects the game to go into beta "sometime in the second half of 2008." Unlike its predecessor, Guild Wars 2 will have a persistent world. Like its predecessor, the online game will not require a subscription to play.

I played it a little years ago. It was fun but I had children after I started playing and gave it up so my wife wouldn’t hate me. I got to 50 and then hung it up
Arenanet is doing smthn wrong with marketing, I never once seen an ad for a gw2 expansion and always hear it like this once an expac is already released. Not that I would play it cause I'm a gw1 purist haha

Not as good as WoW, but a worthwhile experience and an agreeable time-killer. Hopefully, they'll continue to keep the online portion free.
