If it came out in the summer I was ready and waiting to buy and play it...but in the fall/winter? Now you're competing with a bunch of other games (Splinter Cell Conviction, Assassin's Creed 2, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 and a whole bunch of others). And hey, people don't have THAT much money. That's why I like when games are spread out throughout the year.

bigger titles may be out during that timeframe, right now it isnt being overshadowed and would be the time to strike, I liked the demo and already preordered it.

To be honest, I think if they had to delay it. Make it August. I can't think of a good game coming out in August. June and July seem to have a handful of pretty good/decent games. Also, it's right before the waves of big titles during fall/winter.

What? Have you seen all the games coming out this holiday season? The only competition they had in June/July/August was practically inFamous, Prototype, and Ghostbusters. The amount of competition @ holiday will be 10x.

"Release date was being pushed until the fourth quarter of 2009. "
If I do recall the fourth quarter of the year(this year) is from July 1, 2009 to September 30, 2009. But it really depends on where you live.
Anything from in between won't really steer people away from the title.

The fourth quarter of '09 could be one of two things: calendar-wise 4th quarter, which would be October-December, or fiscal year-wise 4th quarter, which is usually December-February.

Personally, I hope it means calendar-wise. That demo is sick.

The 4th quarter is October-December, you know, the last 3 months out of 12. How could July be in the 4th quarter? That's only the beginning of the second half of the year. Depends on where you live? Whhhat?

4th quarter, they are always talking about the fiscal year, not the calendar year. When they are referring to the calendar year, they say Fall or Winter.

If it needs the polish, okay.

But if they are trying to push it into the crowded "big selling holiday season" just to nab sales, it WILL backfire. With titles like Halo, Uncharted, and CoD6... this game will be heavily overlooked.

The industry needs to break out of this whole "release EVERYTHING in the last 2 months of the year" crap already.

Modern Warfare 2 and Halo:ODST will dominate the holiday sales. I'm willing to bet that I will enjoy Uncharted 2 more than both of them, though. Batman will be lost in the fold.

If the demo sucked then they should wait. It sucks I get the same flop vibe from this game that I got from Force Unleashed. Lets hope I'm wrong

when Force Unleashed came out, but I decided to buy it because no other games were really coming out around that time. If Batman releases in June, they might trick me into buying this the same way. lol. I am a huge Batman fan, and I just feel like I will be disappointed. I hope I'm wrong.

Disappointing and probably means I will not get this game. There is simply way to much coming out at the holiday season for me to care about this. Maybe I will pick it up later in the year.

If the game is not ready that is one thing but if they are delaying it to put it in the holiday shopping season that is lame.

i'd buy batman: AA for sure in june. but this fall i already have 5 games pre-ordered........so, i wouldn't be getting it at that time. this same situation happened with "medal of honor: airborne". it was supposed to come out during august and got pushed back till november.(for ps3). and i still haven't gotten around to buying it.
"batman" looks like an ok game, but there are other games in the fall of the year that i want more.
they need to bring batman out in june.........delaying it till fall when many AAA titles are released will hurt its sales.
