C.Rossi of Gamer Limit Writes: "That's right, it's not a misprint. I genuinely believe that the gaming world would be better off without sequels. There are quite a few reasons for this, but my main one would be that sequels suck the originality out of gaming: eventually leaving it dry and boring. Franchises like Halo, Metal Gear Solid and Pokémon: these destroy the creative gaming rainbow and replace it with just a single colour; that colour is beige. No one likes beige."

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

Mojang has partnered with Merlin Entertainments to build the world's first Minecraft theme park in the UK.

A three-episode live-action adaptation of the first two Yakuza video games will debut Tuesday, March 17 exclusively IGN. Each episode is about an hour long and will stream on IGN.com and IGN’s YouTube channel.
I like sequels
Great article. It would be sad to see a lot of sequels go, but we'd most likely get more original games. Imagine if instead of Ninja Gaiden 2 we got a re-worked Ninja game with Ayane. It would have felt more fresh.
some sequels are good, some are terrible.
Some new IP's need to go then.
