Infamous vs Prototype

GamingVice.net:

"This is one of the more prominent arguments made between PS3 and XBOX 360 fans, the argument whether or not there is little difference between the PS3 and 360 ceiling-wise or if the 360 is holding back the PS3 version of games due to the difference in storage capacity of Blu-ray being 25GB per layer and the 360 supporting DVD9 and only being able to use 7GB for the game while using 2GB of space on the disc for Copyright Protection which sounds like a big deal, so I'm going to go over a few things to see if Prototype seems cheapened due to the disc capacity."

Infamous for me looks and will play better

chaosatom6237d ago (Edited 6237d ago )

First the Prototype = More Advanced Hulk Combat
Second Infamous = Looks to have a awesome storyline and really polished game.

Also I don't like prototypes' "shape-shifter which allows you to consume your enemies and includes absorbing their DNA, looks, abilities and memories"
---Although the idea is cool, I have my doubts if it's going to fun and how they are implementing it.

Also who is making prototype? Sucker punch has track record of making excellent games.

Prototype, developed by a bunch of nobodies who have never even made a good game lol. Last time I saw Prototype it had more framerate issues than GTA IV and Fallout 3 combined.

gambare6237d ago

PS3 users won't have to break their heads deciding which one is better because they will play both

eagle216237d ago

PS3 Exclusive VS. Multiplatform.......... LMAO

And judging from multiplatform SFIV selling equal in america and better on PS3 worldwide, that argument is done as well."teh sales... "

Chubear6237d ago

All it means is the PS3 fanbase get the opportunity to experience these two games and the 360 base can only experience one.

ZuperAmazingCooKie6237d ago

As a PS3 owner I can and will have both

dachiefsman6237d ago

I see no other xbox fan's debating this.

I think they both look good, but prototype is more visceral and i like me some blood n' guts. I will definitely play both.

Eiffel6237d ago

The last time you saw it was before the games delay since its delay they polished nearly everything about the game. But of course anything that's not PS3 with you is a negative.

Danja6237d ago

I wont lie im looking forward to Infamous more because im a big fan of Sucker Punch games and im sure they will deliver on quality , plus Infamous seems really cool in the way they approach the gameplay and how everything around you affects how you play the game..

but Prototype is looking good also..im gonna buy both day one ne ways , this game is the complete opposite of Infamous so why even compare ...this is an action game on steroids...looks cool..

support both....quit b!tching because one is PS3 exclusive.

pain777pas6237d ago

If prototype is a multiiplat this article is bullsh#t for PS3 owners who could give 2 f#cks about which is better. Is N4G just to b#tch about sh$t that doesn't even f#cking matter.

Alcon6237d ago

Why always bring things down to PS3 vs 360.
anyway, I'll probably get both. Why hate on Prototype. It seems to be a nice game. I'm more pro Sony, but some here are bashing Prototype just because it's a multiplat, and goes to the 360 as well. That's just stupid. You're judging and comparing two games that did not come out yet? (based on some vids?) Buy both games, play them, and then you'll be entitled to tell us if X game is good or not , or if it's better than the other.

Myth6237d ago

I bet Microsoft buys up some exclusive DLC for prototype.

xboxlj6237d ago

I think I would prefer prototype over infamous. I have actually pre-ordered prototype, but think I will just rent infamous. My biggest issues with infamous is its lack variety in the environments, not being able to use weapons or vehicles, and the story seems like it will be on the cheesy side. I may give it a rent thouhg

DaTruth6236d ago (Edited 6236d ago )

This is it! The multiplat vs. PS3 exclusive. whichever comes out more technically advanced, wins the console war. All 360 fanboys have is "Teh multiplats lookz better on 360". If between these 2 games, Infamous is technically better, "Teh multiplats" no longer matter.

I won't be getting Prototype because it looks like Spiderman 3 and late at night sometimes, I still think about that $60(shakes fist)! Actually it was $70 because the Can dollar was still low back than.

Marquis_de_Sade6236d ago

I'm looking forward to inFamous more personally, although that could change with time.

MNicholas6236d ago (Edited 6236d ago )

Visuals: Infamous is visibly superior. Better textures, better lighting, better shadows, and much higher polygon count. This is a matter of numbers rather than taste and, clearly, Infamous easily wins.

Gameplay: Based on what little has been revealed about these games and both do an equally good job of turning ideas into gameplay, the concept behind Prototype is more interesting to me. Simply put, DNA absorption interests me more than shooting electricity. However, this is not a fact but rather it is highly subjective and based on personal preferences rather than measurable numbers.

So which game is actually better? We'll just have to wait and see.

y0haN6236d ago

Infamous looks grand, hope it does well is all I can say.

I'm sure I'll be happier with Infamous as it is 'built' for PS3 ... and its Sucker Punch.

You Already Know6237d ago (Edited 6237d ago )

there clearly was a misunderstanding, good looks columbo..

peedie166237d ago

I think both games are going for different things so they both should be good

Ranking The Coldest, Most Ruthless Protagonists In Gaming

Not all video game protagonists are sweet, jolly, or wholesome. Folks like Agent 47 are cold, ruthless, and reserved and it shows.

cloganart639d ago

I'd like to believe Joel's situation is more about turning into a calloused survivor in a cold-hard world who may have made selfish decisions. Not inherently ruthless.

Lara Croft, Nathan Drake etc, cos they pretend to be the good guys but are mass murderers that show no remorse.

Atleast release a remaster trilogy or something to gage interest. I'd buy it. With that said I'm pretty over superheroes at this point. Infamous is still dope as fk though so it'd be a buy

isarai662d ago

Omfg i would go apesh!t for that 😩

jznrpg663d ago

I agree but games take 4-6 years to make so who knows when they would do it? After Ghost of Tsushima2? They could have something else in the world as well in early production who knows.

mkis007663d ago

It's a shame Sucker Punch finally figured out a good open world formula only while making Ghost of Tsushima. Infamous 1 and 2 were great for their time, but Second son felt too much like a checklist in It's design. I love the hell out of all 3 games (2 and 3 are just so damn good, while 1 shows it's age and the ps3 struggles), but I would love to see how they would do another infamous with all they have learned. Wouldn't hurt to release a remastered collection either.

Demetrius662d ago (Edited 662d ago )

This series, days gone, will continue to get ignored by sony, luckily we still have the horizon series, sly cooper not getting pushed anymore, speaking of that I'm bout to get on my ps2 and play some sly 2 anyways lol, but seriously I never woulda thought back then sony would ever cold shoulder most of their franchises I'm actually surprised they're still letting ratchet&clank be around
