GamingFront.net Grades The Systems

When GamingFront.net decided to do this article they based it off of 3 things.

1. Which system is the most fun to play
2. Who has the best games
3. Who has the best online setup

These grades are not based on sales statistics, graphics comparisons or even features. These grades are basically based on what is most important to any console owner, fun. We take a look at two aspects of each system. The games, and the online component. The over all grade is given based on these two aspects which we used to determine which system is the most fun to play.

Pretty fair Judgement in my opinion but I think Wii would of been good with a B-

MasFlowKiller6301d ago

doesn't one consist of two?

unless the ps3 and 360 have a giggle mechanisms i don't know about

Real Gambler6301d ago

In such a short rating, he did manage to mention "Live" 7 times!!!!

More and more, it seem that it's the last thing that give the 360 an edge.

For me? Since I didn't bought a 360 yet, I've saved $150 since launch... One more year, and I'll be able to buy a 360 with the money I will have saved... How cool is that! Free 360 for waiting a few years!

The Wii is easily the best gaming platform for most consumers. It is easy to use and does not require superhuman thumb control, the ability to press complicated button combinations, or to memorize complicated control schemes. It's also very reliable and has important features like wifi built in.

It's the iphone of game consoles. Simple, intuitive, and fun. That's also why it's outselling the PS3 and 360 combined.

Now, between the PS3 and 360, the PS3 hardware is far more capable and online is both free and less compromised by lag or downtime. Like the Wii, the built in wifi makes the free online play all the more enjoyable. The hardware is also far quieter, and more importantly, is much more reliable. In fact, statistically, the 360 is about 10 times more likely to break down.

For casual gamers: Wii
For serious gamers: PS3

I pretty much agree with the grades all three consoles got,the PS3 will go up to an A when this year is over.

SL1M DADDY6300d ago

grading the consoles, this would definitely keep the 360's grade from ever hitting an A. I would put the 360 and PS3 at about B+ just for the simple fact that failure rates for the 360 IMHO keep it from being anywhere near perfect. What it gains in Live and Games, it loses in hardware failure rates.

Says who?

By far???

That's a pretty bold statement when you have MGS4, Uncharted, LBP, and KZ2 standing together like the Four Horsemen

:o ...Whoooooooo!!!

EDIT: Just to name a few...

"1. Which system is the most fun to play
2. Who has the best games
3. Who has the best online setup"

1.My answer would've been 'equal' before I played Pacific Rift;Ps3 takes it for me.

2.Better exclusives=Ps3.No doubt about it.

3.Microsoft currently has the better Online setup and feature-set,no doubt about this.

My Grades are as follows:

Ps3= A-

Xbox 360=C+

Nintendo Wii=B

Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

solideagle19d ago

they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.

Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted

Final Fantasy VIII is great and you are always the first to defend it in the comments

Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.

jznrpg25d ago

My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.

Smellsforfree25d ago

Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.

Loktai25d ago

Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

DarXyde26d ago

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

Soy26d ago

And then MK1 killed it again.

DivineHand12526d ago (Edited 26d ago )

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
