We are also celebrating a huge milestone - 12 million ARC Raiders copies sold! We prepared a gift for reaching 10 million players, but you blew right past it over the holidays... we're not complaining! Everyone who has logged in since launch until Jan 13 11:59pm CET/Jan 13 3pm PST/Jan 13 6pm EST can pick up the Gilded Pickaxe Raider Tool!"

ARC Raiders has lost approximately 80% of its Steam concurrent player base since its peak earlier in the year.
I remember when it launched “it’s blowing away call of duty” said gamers with disdain for the old fps staple.
And I said “give it time and let’s see”.
We’ve now had time.
Not establishing an opinion here, just a realist that knows a good launch doesn’t necessarily equal success and longevity. Love or hate call of duty (pretty burned out on it personally) but it’s a staple now - like butter on toast or cheese on pizza. It’s the “coca cola” of video games because even non gamers know about it. That’s pretty hard to topple and takes exponentially more work and luck that COD just doesn’t have to do now (for good or bad).
I wish arc much success tho
people are so obsessed with player counts, my god!
Call of Duty only has 7% of their peak. So what.

Sam writes: "Stick with us tonight as we reveal all the winners at this year's BAFTA Games event. Can Clair Obscur make it another sweep?"

Direct from the dev updates are the best. The things I read about the nerfing on some sites just didn't sound right.
