Brand new details for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach have been revealed via the official PlayStation website.

It takes the first game and streamlines select gameplay facets, then smartly builds on and improves features to create a more all-around experience.
The product that comes out the other side is an equally gripping and satisfying one, where top-of-the-line cutscenes tell another bonkers Hideo Kojima narrative, while the gameplay delights with complex delivery routes and vastly improved combat.

Just need a preorder link. I’ll probably get the collectors edition also as the last one was really good.
Hope they improve the combat. For me I wouldn't miss it if it was completely removed from the first game. Doing a second run from scratch on hard difficulty with the Director's edition.
Minor spoilers here.
Mules are idiots.
Disabling sensor posts seems to be a waste of time.
Not 100% on this one, but pretty sure the game said that if you're not carrying any cargo that mules will ignore you altogether. Pretty sure I've gone into a mule camp carrying nothing at all and they still came after me on sight.
The fights with the big BTs (after you get dragged through the tar) are a total waste of time. Why bother fighting them when the reward is a few chiral crystals? Just save time and run away. Once you're out of the tar, they disappear, making them utterly pointless.
The fights with Clifford, while atmospheric, are a chore. Down him once, then rinse and repeat the exact same thing another THREE times, all while he says the same few lines of dialogue over and over again.
Oh yeah, and the game doesn't really stick to its own lore either. makes a big deal about cremating bodies or they will turn into BTs. The other day I killed a terrorist and Die-hard Man suddenly calls me saying I must take the body to the nearest crematorium. Yeah, like who's got time for that? And what difference is one more BT going to make? And if it's such a big deal, then the remaining terrorists, that I didn't kill, can chuck the corpse in their truck and do it themselves.
