I have the game for the PS3 and the least they can do if they wont give us the DLC is fix this and lift the level cap to 30 like they're going to for the other 2 platforms. How can Bethesda charge us the same amount for the game when they obviously won't support it after release?

I don't think this has to do anything with MS paying people to screw over PS3 owners. It has to do with Sony not paying devs for extra content. Who works for free these day.

Picked the game up the other week, have not stopped playing it. Luckily i`m not rushing through the main missions and taking the time to do all the side quests and seeing as you cannot continue once finished i`m glad i did.

Shame about the Dlc but the game is massive anyway, keep me busy till Killzone 2. :)

PS3 always gets skipped, shorted and screwed over. Why anyone who is serious about gaming would only have that console is beyond me.

While I am seriously irritated on this new wave of preferential console treatment (especially considering the game was released multiplatform) but my question is why isn’t Sony cutting any checks?

Their original belief was that they could win the console war with only the games produced from their studios but this clearly isn’t the case. I understand that MS has an abundance of money and are willing to throw it around with the hopes of securing a monopoly on the gamer market, so that they can control console and game prices for the future but really Sony has been making it far to easy of late by offering up no real resistance and while I am looking forward to KZ2 I am aware that another FPS (no matter how beautiful) is not going to win this console war.

The market is saturated with such games, making graphics and environments the only real draw on a new FPS, especially when most of them are constrained to similar stories. I understand that times are tough but if I have both consoles and 50% of the games on one looks a little better than the other and while have future content available then I will probably go to that console for my multiplatform titles. While I am happy with some of the PS3 exclusives many of the great games (like Fallout 3) are less buggy and can offer DLC to fix a problem that I find annoying or DLC that offers me more things to do on a game that I enjoy than I will be swayed to go where the options are.

This is not Sony’s fault entirely but honestly they need consider where the future of their console lies when they are getting slapped so often. If they really want to make me happy the could offer some money to Konami so that Suikoden 6 could be released or maybe give money to Square-Enix for a FFVII remake even though I like FFVI better.

Free online and blu-ray are great but in the end, games are the determining factor. I do hope PS3 owners (I own all three) such as myself who purchased Fallout 3 on the PS3 instead of the 360 get this content as well… but I won’t hold my breath.

I really don't get the big deal about this. Just do the side quests and go exploring BEFORE you finish the game. Problem solved stop moaning

I thought back to the whole Oblivion bullshit, where the ps3 version came out like 6 months later, and the Shivering isles came even ever LATER than that.

I should write that guy back and agree with him, because it seems to be a thing among developers who are close to pc development. Many are completely ignorant, and obviously prefer pc/360 development because it's similar, not to mention is quite lazy. I don't see how these companies are going to maximize their profit given the fact that the development stigma for ps3 is lifting, if not gone, and also they have many many fans with ps3's as well (nearly all die-hard ps fans are rpg fanatics).

If ppl wouldnt buy their DLCs all the years before they wouldnt pay R* 50 Millons for a DLC.

This has become one of the most corrupt console generations ever.

You have companies shelling out money to either inflate or deflate reviews by influencing the reviewer (journalist), buying game/demo exclusivity, omitting content that should have been on the retail disc to sell as DLC, third party devs screwing one console to please another, shipping buggy games so they can be "patched" at a later time, hardware being released that should have been recalled because of the high failure rate, overpriced peripherals, etc.

The console wars that preceded this one were NEVER this cutthroat.

Exclusive DLC. That's how far this industry has sunk. Not exclusive games. Exclusive DLC for multiplatform games.

As I've said, I'm outright refusing to buy exclusive DLC on any platform.

I would love to have the DLC, I for one detest Exclusive DLC. If a game is exclusive fine. But don't punish some of the fans just because they got a different version of the game.

...having both versions, my PS3 copy seems to run a whole mess more smoothly. Not sure but the framerate drops on the 360 seem nonexistant here.

Anyhow, shame we may not see such a small append to the overall game. I would love to be able to reset the enemies and spawn frequency, and just explore some more...

Fallout 3...great game!clocked up about 150 hours but probably wouldnt of botherd with all of the side quests if i wasnt going for trophies. Even if DLC was coming to PS3 i wouldnt be buying it, ive had my fill with exploring flooded metros,hacking terminals and killing super mutants and ive got the Platinum trophy as reminder. Time to hang up the combat armour...whats next...ah yes..KILLZONE 2!!! enjoy your dlc

Yes i hate microsoft and everything that represents but as a gamer i cant skip their exclusives. Anyways i've invested on a very strong pc to play my beloved games such as Fallout 3. 3SLI = everything max at 1920x1200.

Bethesda are shafting us with core gameplay mechanics. Not just extra quests. Its disgusting- if it was due to MS' chequebook then I think I'll soon lose interest in the industry. They shouldn't have released it on PS3 if they were going to bend it over straight after and screw it over so royally. I hope everyone who cares about the game industry as a whole makes their views known to Bethesda or this trend will continue.

critireon has dumped equal quality and updates for both the 360 and the ps3 where the only thing the ps3 got the 360 didnt get was the ability to upload your game save to their website and get a detailed map of what you havent achieved or explored yet. and thats only because you cant upload your 360 saves.

burnout paradise has benefited from this in gamer support and purchases of their dlc.

i would prefer it if a developer just either chose a console or worked on them equally. (i.e. critireon and valve) at least valve isnt half assing ps3 games. they are just not making them. better to not have it than to have a half complete game.(lost & damned doesnt count that was a flat out purchase from microsoft)

Why do we allow developers to charge us extra for something that should have been included from the beginning? Isn't $60 enough to get the full experience anymore?

I don't know if all you misinformed fanboys know this but bethesda never originally had oblivion or even fallout 3 planned for the ps3. they were originally xbox exclusives like morrowind. However bethesda looked at how fast the ps3 install base has grew and they decided to release both on the ps3. Bethesda doesn't hate the ps3 at all. microsoft and bethesda have a dlc agreement set in stone and the idea to remove the ending is being put in the DLC so it probably won't happen for the ps3 because it isn't getting the DLC.

Should f done what i did. When i found out the DLC was exclusive for the XFLOP i brought my Fallout second hand that way Bethesda didnt recieve any money only the shop i brought it from did and i still got to play it. If Bethesda cant treat the consoles equal then why should i line thier pockets :)

Todd Howard was recently quoted as saying that you don't currently have plans to patch the PS3 version of Fallout 3 to allow post-completion play. While I can definitely see the business value in allowing Microsoft to sponsor exclusive content for the 360, I think it's a mistake to needlessly annoy PS3 users by preventing them from fully enjoying the content they've already purchased.

I was looking forward to purchasing Fallout 3 while waiting for Killzone 2 to be released, but I'm going to wait for this issue to be clarified first. I'm hopeful that Mr. Howard was merely avoiding making any claims before being 100% certain, and that you will in fact be releasing an update for PS3. In my opinion, to do otherwise is an egregious error that will only serve to alienate loyal fans such as myself.

...to me, was better than F3. I don't know if it was the enviorment, battles, excellent mix of good and evil or what but I actualy threw my back out because I laid on my couch for almost 48 hours straight playing that damn game. F3 was fun and had some original stuff, but I could care less about additional content. I beat the game, then thew Dead Space back in for another run. Doing time on COD online until KZ2. Life is good. Cheers to call.

Fallout 3 wasn't at the top of my list anyway since I'm no big RPG fan. But the guns got me interested, until I heard about all the bugs. And now this.

Since Bethesda don't seem to want my money, I simply won't get it at all...

and I was SO pissed when it just came up the end credit screen. I had other quests on the go! So I just went back a couple of save points and carried on.

Watch that those that call Bethesda out on this get called PS3 fanboys, the media hounds that should give a crap won't and approve of this (1UP is calling them out, but where is everyone else on this one?), spinning will occur (it has already with some of these comments) and nothing will ever change because some people are too approving of things that only benefit their fanboyish beliefs.

Bethesda is dumb. Every other publisher has said now that they make more money from the PS3 than the other consoles. How much did Microsoft bribe them for this? It better be $50 million like with GTA IV. If it isn't they're blowing tons of cash.

PS3 owners stiffed Capcom when they released Lost Planet because it was a bad port. The graphics weren't as sharp, it had a 5 GB mandatory install, and it came out around the same time as a few other games. What the frick did Capcom expect?

I was planning on buying Fallout 3 on the PS3 this month but hearing of this news has completely turned me off as a customer. I do not like developers who sacrifices its fans for profit, and so i will not support any future games that they will release. Other people who feel the same as me should do the same.

I have the Fallout 3 for the 360 and I know I payed the same shelf price as the PS 3 version,I am not one for who as the bigger di*k so I think it is all wrong that people who buy the game to play on which ever console they choice,are denied equal opportunities as anyone else.

In general i think that's crazy for a game like this. I have spent hundreds of hours on Oblivion after i finished the main storyline, which was only a small part of the game anyway.
So giving PC and 360 owners the oppurtunity to extend the longevity of the game by a infinite number of hours, while shafting the ps3 owners of the game is just criminal.
I wanted to buy the ps3 version of the game because i support Sony, but this is so Big of a Deal in a game of this type, that i simply cannot buy it for the ps3, even i wanted to.
Doing all the sidequests before finishing the main story? Really, ask yourself this: "Should you have to, while PC and 360 owners dont have to worry about it?" No!
This might not be a big deal for people who doesn't spend that much time on this kind of games, but for me this is a big issue that cuts the game short, while it doesn't on the other platforms.

Anyone know when the update is coming to the 360. I haven't beaten the game yet, but would like to keep playing after I beat the main quest.
