Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."

They aren’t for everyone and they know that. Get good
"By offering games with different mechanics or themes, FromSoftware could attract more casual players who may not be interested in or able to handle the difficulty of its core titles. A game that focuses more on narrative and discovery rather than combat difficulty could draw in this group."
yeah no thanks. They have a specific style of making games and they don't compromise on it, that's what makes them so popular and now this guy is saying they should stop doing that and make the game for players who don't like their games. Also Souls games are very much based around discovery, except you don't get it shoved in your face like with every other game and that is refreshing and it has very much a narrative in the same way it does it's exploration, the 2 are linked with eachother so let's not have them make games that every other studio already does, it's not that hard to understand. This bs with the game needs to be for everyone is what's causing games to get worse, in turn the games will be made for no one because you want to please everyone.
I'm always down for developers trying new things. No dev should be stuck doing one type of game. I'd love for them to do more silly shit like metal wolf chaos or another action game like otogi. Try new things and maybe one or more of those new ideas blows up too and then you'd have even more money makers to work with instead of just relying on the one or 2 series you've been doing for decades
Make what you want but don’t chase casuals.
"FromSoftware has mostly developed action RPGs recently and has shown versatility with games like Armored Core"
Who wants to tell the journo?
