It's also coming to the Switch, which I'm pretty excited about.

Same. Just waiting on a inevitable LRG release. Though I might end up double dipping anyway.

Too bad the original Sega CD version of Lunar Silver Star never gets the love it deserves. That version has one of the best Intros in all of Video Game history, and the PS1 version doesn't even come close.

Seriously, YouTube it. Especially the English dub. Classic!

Sega CD version was so much darker too - it had more weight behind it. Both versions are amazing though.

Agree. While it sucks that we'll never see an actual Remake of that intro nor are we getting a Remake with the original darker look, I think it would be nice if they at least included the Sega CD version as a bonus in this collection. It's different enough that it deserves to be preserved right alongside the remakes for sure.

In fact, I would argue that both, Silver Star and Eternal Blue, should be included as a bonus. The original Eternal Blue for the Sega CD has some amazing Sprite work, not just for the game, but for the Cinematics as well. In fact, I much prefer the Sprites used in that Sega CD version of Eternal Blue rather than the Sprite over CGI used in the Saturn/PS1 cinematics. But to each their own.

Still, that Sega CD Silver Star intro, though. So good.

Review - Lunar Remastered Collection (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "Both Lunar and Lunar 2 are utterly adorable JRPGs with lovable characters and great plots you can’t help but want to experience as much as possible. To have them available in an accessible and polished remastered package is more than just a lot of bang for you buck, but also a great way to preserve two cult hits from the 90s, finally making them easily accessible to a wider audience. It’s a good thing they are charming as hell, as their gameplay is grindy and dated. If you can put up with the clichés and limitations of old-school JRPGs, then Lunar Remastered Collection is a very easy recommendation."

I got 2 copies, one to play and one for my unopened collection but I was only able to get those because I knew when they were releasing physical copies. They sold out quickly and most people missed out. They are making more but how many who knows.
