Absolutely correct me if im wrong here but I think they may be the most profitable out of the big 3. Perhaps the article needs a different title.

The answer is simple, in business there is something called over exposure. Nintendo, as well as anyone else much make sure to protect its assets. Over reliance on older games past will mean that people will play those games in place of new experiences that Nintendo is capable of creating. That would be a horrible move from a business perspective. Nintendo would have nothing to gain and everything to lose by re-releasing their older games. But I guess the authors have to write articles about something.

They love money as much as every other company. They don’t make 1000 products a day because, unlike western companies, Japanese companies still have a shred of reservation.

That’ll change in a generation or two, but for now, they are reserved.

Just enjoy it.

Would it? The target audience for Nintendo’s handheld console only has so much money to buy games and birthdays and Christmas only comes once a year. Sales of old, cheap games would take away sales from newer, more expensive games.

They're doing great with switch games so it's not necessary for them to pull out all their emergency games. It'd possible get in the way of switch games. Why the Wii U really needed and hat them.

You can always just emulate.

I won't add clicks to the site, but at the rate that they have been releasing Pokemon titles, I imagine they want to keep sales high on recent titles don't want to exhaust their core market.

They don’t hate money enough to ever put their games on sale that’s for sure.

I would love to be able to buy their older games on Switch like VC we had on the other consoles/handhelds, but the best we can hope for these days is NSO.

Nintendo isn't in a rush to do any differently because they're rolling in money.
