The SoulsBorne sequels might just be lying ahead of Armored Core’s reincarnation. In a time when video games are either overrun by battle royale tropes or riddled with microtransactions, FromSoftware created a fever for every masochist’s favorite genre. Soulslike is a term that originated when FromSoftware built Demon’s Souls for the PlayStation 3, and that same formula […]

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."

I do wonder after AC6. Elden Ring 2 seems the most likely as it's just way too popular. A new experiment souls game also has a good chance.
Ahhhh armoured core 6 lol
Then I'd say elden ring 2 is a safe bet.
Miyazaki is already working on the next project he mentioned it when he said he handed off Armored Core to someone else after starting it. The article says Miyazaki hates sequels but that's not true he made Dark Souls 2 and 3. He just said Dark Souls 3 is the end of that series because he has told the stories he wants to tell in that setting. I remember in an Interview he said he would definitely make a Bloodborne 2 but Sony owns it and unless they ask him to make a sequel he can't. I don't think the next game is Elden Ring 2 because i believe he started his new project before Elden Ring came out and Elden Ring's world is huge so it would take another 3-4 years if they started development after the DLC. I think he is working on something new and we might get Elden Ring 2 for the end of PS5 or PS6 launch.
I doubt you could even imagine it...
Another BloodBorne please; their best game to date for me. But with them, it'll probably be something new.
