As a pandemic-distorted market starts to return to normality, the need for Xbox to impress with game exclusives has become urgent.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
2023 already started amazingly for Xbox with Hi-Fi Rush.
Atomic Heart - Day One on Gamepass
S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 - Day One on Gamepass
Hollow Knight: Silksong - Day One on Gamepass
Minecraft Legends - Day One on Gamepass
Forza Motorsport - Day One on Gamepass
Redfall - Day One on Gamepass
Starfield - Day One on Gamepass
These are only some games for Xbox in 2023 from the top of my mind.
I doubt the competition to have such strong lineup of games to compare.
2023 will definitely be an awesome year for Xbox gamers.
They can float on dollar bills dude, they are freaking Microsoft.
Long as possible clearly
They shadow dropped a decent game and suddenly everything has been reset. Die hard fans eat it up and come out the woodwork to use it as an example that they “are back”. Case and point, the first comment 🤷🏻♂️
That’s why MS never learn because they know they can get away with it.
Microsoft has had a rough few first years of the Xbox Series for sure - but in 2023 they're lined up a lot better than PS thus far.
I'm more concerned about the fact we're only getting FF16 and SM2 on PS this year (so far), and we already know Forspoken was a flop. Heck, it's not even been out a week and it's already on sale.
uhhh 2023 is actually looking pretty darn good from a release perspective imo. even the latest developer_direct was more than expected IMO. gamepass is getting some great day one releases - releases that aren't even MS studio games.. like Atomic Heart, Persona 3,4,5, High Fi Rush, Monster Hunter: Rise etc. Redfall is out in a couple of months, Forza Motorsport looks incredible and yes - visually more impresive than Gran Turismo 7 (and i own and love GT7).
I actually feel like MS is coming into the best position they have been in for years and that things are finally starting to turn around from a game release standpoint.
