What would you do without blatantly copying Sony, Microsoft, eh?

littletad6365d ago

Everyone copies everyone to such an extent, it's not even a plausible argument in the world of gaming.

evilmonkey5016365d ago

This is what Microsoft does.hire-steal-fire-sell. They have no shame.Which is exactly why they are on top, eating up everyone else.

creeping judas6365d ago

Do you then believe that Sony are corporate saints, and have never done anything bad??

All large corporations have done underhanded dealings to get where they are now.

IdleLeeSiuLung6365d ago

One can also say that Sony lack the foresight to protect their investment and MS made some very smart business moves. I think the funniest part is MS received their chip 6 weeks prior to Sony. This mirrors the PS3 so far, delays after delays with release of PS3 and then Home.

Sounds like Sony has great ideas, but don't execute well. I'm interrested in reading this book, just to see how the story went about.

good read..to bad for Sony...o sales are down this year because there wasn't a recession last year...every thing considered expensive suffered because people went for the ladder...expensive things tend to
not sell in a weak economy...simple as that.

rogimusprime6365d ago

sony might as well line up on the street with a tin cup because its over.

Jesus, with all the PS3 hate going on these days, you would think NO ONE had ever bought the system to begin with.

Snake Raiser6365d ago

Ya, BIG BOSS has seen a lot for one day. And it is only 3 AM here.

MerkinMax6365d ago (Edited 6365d ago )

I don't like this one bit.

Cajun Chicken6365d ago (Edited 6365d ago )

Oh, no, no, no...Its more about how Microsoft technically stole parts of the Cell. Leaving the 360 with a incomplete Cell because IBM sold off technology, hence probably why the 360 has been so unreliable and the components seem so 'chucked together' and on the whole, rushed in production.

I would not be suprised to see another book in the near future how Microsoft spends most its income from XBL to bribe media and backhand developers.

"Mr. Shippy says that he felt "contaminated" as he sat down with the Microsoft engineers, helping them to sketch out their architectural requirements with lessons learned from his earlier work on Playstation."

'Contaminated', odd choice of wording, eh?

Pseudo_Clash6365d ago

what a cheap and disgusting business move on microsoft's part. any true gamers supporting such sleazy tactics with the purchase of an xbox should be ashamed. this is capitalism at its worst

Shadow Man6365d ago (Edited 6365d ago )

I love Microsoft.

littletad6365d ago (Edited 6365d ago )

Really now? You do remember the Dreamcast right? Know what killed it? The ps2. Did it do it... "legitimately"? Ha, yeah right. If I'm not mistaken shady business practices are done by all companies, even in the world of gaming. We can name countless times each company has done something underhanded can't we? So no company is a saint. So any "true gamer" should support the games, not the companies who create the system you play them on. Well at least based on your sanctimonious tone and view of capitalism.

@below

Is that comment meant for me? I'm not sure you got my own comment, I'm merely replying to the original repliers opinion about MS and it's "shady tactics".

Cajun Chicken6365d ago

Uh, the PS2 was generally bought more due to the DVD drive, nothing to do with adapted chip sets of existing technology in the making from the same company for another company with pretty the same purpose for the technology.

LeonSKennedy4Life6365d ago

That was Microsoft's fault too.

They pulled the plug on Sega's online service only 5 years into a 10 year contract. They then proceeded to direct that service into what is now Xbox Live.

...and you people think Microsoft is God.

littletad6365d ago

"...and you people think Microsoft is God."

No I don't. And please post Links if your going to act like a smarty pants. Otherwise it's just claims and clutter.

"sega announced they would discontinue the service"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

Who finally pulled the plug?

Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

solideagle37d ago

they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.

Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted

Final Fantasy VIII is great and you are always the first to defend it in the comments

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

DarXyde44d ago

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

Soy44d ago

And then MK1 killed it again.

DivineHand12544d ago (Edited 44d ago )

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
