Since when is the processor in the 360 anything like a cell? The whole problem with the PS3 is that its so hard to program for, mostly because of the cell. The 360 is easy to program for, because its so much like a PC. What the hell?

microsoft would not have their button setup without sony doing it first.
microsoft would not have added 1080p support without sony.

microsoft would not have had USB support without sony using it for the orignal ps2.
microsoft would not have had a hard drive if sony didn't think of adding it to the orignal ps2's bay in the back.
microsoft would not have added hdmi without sony supporting it first.
microsoft would not have had the idea of downloads of content to hard drive without sony thinking it up first for ps2,but failed and brought their idea to ps3 because FFxi didn't push the ps'2 hard drive.
microsoft would not have had games like singstar,buzz,gt5,eyetoy games,etc,without sony thinking it up first.

There have ben arrogant moves by both Sony AND MS. The thing is that I don't think either Sony or Nintendo have ever sold us(gamers)a knowingly unfit console just to get a jump on the competition then bought off developers with our cash while we were stuck in the return/break/return cycle with our 360's so the competition had less exclusives when it arrived with working hardware. I learned my lesson here-took me six returns, mind-and that's what will people do to us next gen if we let MS get away with this scott free?
I admit that Sony and Nintendo are no saints and that this is all business but I really don't accept that any console manufacturer has ever treated us so badly just to turn a quick one as MS have with the 360. Maybe I'm coloured by my experience but I'm not alone in suffering RROD and other breakdowns at the hands of a company who knew the problems when they first shipped. If Sony were a US company would the US media side with the manufacturers of the faulty hardware? I think not and it will be us gamers that pay the price next gen if MS are allowed a free run.
Thankfully the reports of the PS3's demise are silly given the install base it already has(which will get bigger in any case and outside the US it's doing better)and I'm sure we'll still have Sony next gen but some of the things MS do are stunning. I accept how arrogant Sony were before launch and they payed with a slow atart- so when will MS pay?
