The director of the Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Remake has left Ubisoft after more than 11 years at the company.

David Grivel is back to help shape the new Splinter Cell.
So I wonder what the release date will be. Probably another 3-4 years. This is good news for the splinter cell fans, Ubisoft needed this. It should be in good hands now.
I hope they go back to the first three games game style. Didn’t like the newer games that much.

Tim talks about what he’s been watching and playing along with the news from the past week, including Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, X-Men ’97, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, the Splinter Cell Remake, Gears of War 6, old games still being popular and more!
Announced in 2021, the ground-up remake has seen little to no updates this year. Check out some possible explanations here.
The game was announced much too early, but also people were hounding Ubisoft about Splinter Cell for years, so they wanted placate them by making the announcement.
It's normal for games to "go dark", no reason to worry about it. In our age of social media and glut of releases everyone has to turn everything into a big deal if they don't get what they want immediately. Just be patient and let them develop the game.
And let's hope they don't turn it into a modern Ubishit game, packed with mundane boring filler, and ways to artificially extend the length of the game. Experience points, skill trees, resource collecting, grinding for equipment upgrades. None of that trash belongs in Splinter Cell.
Ubisoft and remakes seen to be cursed still waiting for Prince of Persia Sands of Time
well ... one thing's positive in that ... they're using the snowdrop engine for this remake, which looks better than Ubisoft's Anvil engine.
Snow drop is a stunning engine have been used in the Division series as well will be powering the upcoming Avatar and Star Wars Outlaws
Doesn't bode well for the project but Ubisoft has just gone from bad news to worse lately with rumoured sales popping up he may just be leaving before the ship sinks
Man, I really want a new Splinter Cell game, but this’ll do. My only real issue is I’ve lost all faith in Ubisoft to deliver on this. I can’t help but feel like they’ll mess this up.
please don't f this up ...
of all the upcoming remakes ... this one of the most important and anticipated one
This might be bad news. After 11 years in the company leaving during a project like this one. Woke or microtransaction remake incoming
Doesn’t look good for the project and especially that the stealth genre is in dire need of a comeback as both flagships (MGS and SC) haven’t had anything released in years.
