Favoring exploration to tedious quest logs, the player is free (and fully expected) to roam the different areas of the game in search of unique landmarks. This landmark may be a long-fallen city, a small settlement, a cave, or something more impressive such as a stronghold or castle. Exploring these areas will always be rewarding, and will generally grant treasure in the form of a new weapon, armor, or spell."
A new Inographic has been revealed detailing player tendencies.
Is that looking... less tarnished?
definitely looks like it's running more stable now. Here's hoping the delay isn't too much longer for those who want to play it.

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware decided to delay Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 in order to improve the game's performance on that platform.
What a name for a title with bad performance right now. Yup Tarnished Edition is about right. They made the right choice to delay this game.
I have about 110 hrs in so far. I would give it an 85 so far into my playthrough and still GOTY easily. My only complaint is the bosses after Morgott, the Omen King. The captain Niall fight in particular. It's running in a circle to take out his summons one hit at a time. Then baiting Niall's lightning leg so you can hit him once or twice if you are lucky. I hate to say it, but this isn't fun.
I’ve been stuck on the last boss for about 5 hours. The bad part is that I cannot make it to the 2nd phase consistently.
fantastic game and something deserving of all the awards and praise
