Grab do you really think the thousands of players that left this game for this game to be #3 on the top played list over the matchmaking / playlist & lobby issues (not weapon issues) will come back to pay for a map pack that will no doubt introduce even more glitches ? I doubt it

But If they release a map pack this soon after release and charge for it I will be furious. Games doing this now(Fable 2) is ridiculous, include the DLC in the box if your releasing it so soon to the release date.

Um you guys the matchmaking issues are relieved, if it ever takes over a minute, cancel and restart search and it comes up instantly, it's not bad at all.

Damn this was fast. This is the problem with DLC. Dont know if Epic jsut worked on this recently and was just fast with it or was it something that could have been on the disc but they left it out to cash in on only a month later.

Oh right, like I'm really gonna spend my money on something I know nothing about....If I had heard about what the maps are like sometime before this and it was just an unexpected release of it, I'd probably buy it, but since I have no clue what they are, most likely not.

epic has not fixed none of the glitching/unbalanced boards from gears1. it even worst in gears2. all the mp boards are unbalanced and some are worst then others. you and your enemy spawn in the same spawn areas and sometimes at the same time as each other. people are planting grenades in your spawn base or just outside of your spawn base and kill you. wtf there is a old /new glitch with the grenades. people are planting their grenades right on top of the regular grenades inside your spawn base. when you go to pick up the grenades which is flat on the ground you die. wtf alot of boards have a torquebow or a sniper gun right across from a designated spawn location. you spawn up and they kill you. the gunmen plant grenades behind his location so it makes it hard to kill the sniper or torque..

lastly, you are suppose to be on your last breath for humanity. Why is most of the game sections foreground fighting is cogs vs 2 locust or 4/5 cogs at times fighting 8 locusts on the screen at one time. the boards are big enough for WAR but it is like a "WAKE" out there. i want CQC not BACKGROUND Quarters Combat. The background of the game is good. there is 20 enemies you are fighting at time on top of a burmack. The "Halibut" section was down right lame!! you shoot a couple of "cavities" inside of its mouth and it dies. you did not shoot the Brain or heart;but cavities and it dies. The BIG worm section also Lame. another prime example of wasted space and nothing to do but run and shoot five insects locust at a time. 4cogs fighting 5 insects locust at a time in all that space..Lame!!! a worm that size should of had 100 hundredth of parasites inside of its body. why we are only fighting 5 insects locust at a time???. we should of had encounters of 20 insect locust fighting us at a time. the insects locust could of been falling out of the top part of the worm or ground part of the worm at one time attacking you. Five insect locust rush you and 4cogs kill five insect locust. WTF!! WAIT!! you cut five veins and blood pours all over you. How Great is that!! WTF People who really played the game knows that there is really nothing going on in the Foreground of this game!!! Most people are just blind firing through the game and are not noticing that they are being attacked by 2 to max out 8 locust at a time. You kill two of the 8 locust and the game respawn only two. The boards are way to big for this "Bullshot". they should sent all 15 to 20 locust at you at a time not this "bullshot" this would equal out to 4 kills per cog and not 2 kills per cog in most cases. i am old school. i would advise people to play freedom fighter for the PS2 or PC. it was made in 2003 and you have 12 people at your command in a third person game. the foreground always had enough stuff going on to keep you and your 12 squad mates busy. you only have three people with you in gears and the game breaksdown into a bore!! freedom fighter has you plus 12 squad mates fighting a real war compared to gears 2. 13 vs a real army not this 4 vs 8 bullshoit that is gears. i really wasted good money with this game and will not lose anymore because of it!!! uck those map packs and Epic.

Bleh bleh bleh the multiplayer is broken and I'm gonna b*tch about it nonstop even tho we know they have stated several times that they are working to fix it and since it aint fixed NOW I'm gonna whine about this map pack and refuse to buy it cuz everyone must know that I'm a big boy with big boy money. You know, cuz it is impossible for Epic to work on new maps while trying to fix the multiplayer at the same time. Impossible. That is like walking while chewing gum...cannot be done.

Regardless the MP works for me every time. Guess I'm the only lucky one that has no problem getting into games. Oh wait...cept the people I play with every time. Guess we are playing the game while you guys whine on forums.

With DLC coming so soon after the games Release i have to wonder. Were these maps already done when the game shipped and where simply held for later DLC? If so then I think that's BS because they should have been on the disc. If they made these after the game shipped then all i have to say is WTF? They have time to make new maps but not fix the broken multi player? Come one Epic get on the ball will ya.

serious the game Mp is broke!! on all ways possible. when you respawn in the enemy spawn spot; this is inviting problems. every thing i say about gears2 is the true!! what makes this more monsterous is the glitching. we can disagree to agree but a fact will always be a fact!!! correct me if i am wrong!!! I stopped playing gears after the first week because of the long waits. I finally tried again yesterday (taking a break from my Fallout addiction) and it's working great. I haven't had to wait more than about a minute and about 1/2 the matches come up almost instantly. Anyway, if you had put it down because of the ridiculous waits, you might want to try it again.

The teams are much more equal now also (at least for me). I just played a round of territories and each round was within 20 pts (out of 180. It seemed like before there were allot more lopsided matches. Hope it's not just me that it's finally working for. Enjoy.

10 dollars for 2 new maps is a bit much considerig it has only been out for a month

the game is immensely frustrating due to the lack of weapon balance and i've actually found myself pretty much giving up the online portion aside from horde

Epic pissed me off with this game and its broken physics. Today a Smoke Grenade killed me by blow me p into the air and i never land.i fell out of the map and died. Shotguns can't protect you in close quarters when action heats up and 2 pieces are ever worse than before.
I could go on but for what? In short these 3 maps ain't worth the paper plates prisoners eat pork on. I'd pay 10 for a update before i buy this.

Im not to happy with the online gameplay, this game still feels like gears 1 with a different story, the only thing on this that looks cool is that higher ground level but Im not going to buy it im still addicted to RFOM2

1 and 2 for sure 3 was ok Dom's death felt rushed to me. Judgement was meh 4 was ok and 5 I thought was boring.

4 & 5 had some bullshit practice’s for MP characters and skins.
Judgement was very casual.
2 had the best maps and good gameplay if it wasn’t laggy.
3 had okay maps (too open) but the gameplay was the best.
1 was solid all around.

Judgement has the weakest campaign and multiplayer. Gears 5 would probably be ranked lower if it’s multiplayer didn’t mature well. The game improved significantly in terms of progression and content from launch overtime. While, Gears of War 1 was the most influential title of the series it hasn’t aged as well as it successors.
Gears of War 2 is number one for me due to its plot, introduction of horde and personal nostalgia, despite 3 being objectively better, in my opinion.

I Haven’t not played the spin-off titles, as they belong to genres that don’t interest me.

As an aside: I waiting for my EARNABLE or FREE COG still Spartans to be added to Halo Infinite. Spartans Emile and Kait were in Gears 5 mp, so 343i should reciprocate the Coalitions cross-over.

1,2,3,5,4 and Judgement for me. The first game is hard to beat imo.

Based only on the campaign. 2 was almost perfect; 1 (as a start for the franchise) was amazing too. 3 had some issues, but mostly very enjoyable. Judgement tried to move some stuff around but mostly stayed with the same crew and very basic story. 5 and 4 (campaign-vise) were pretty bad, didn't feel like they were important for the Sera as a whole (maybe that's how it felt to me).

Gears of War 1 is one of the coolest games ever made. A really unique blend of shooter and horror. The art direction was stunning, the music was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was really special. It also looked incredible back in 2006.

This series need a god of war style reboot, the cover and shoot mechanic is old news now they gotta do something to mix it up again.

Other wise its lterally 7 games of the same thing with minimal additions to the gameplay

Now that I finally own an XB one day I'll try the Gear games on Gamepass.

The first 3 are the only good ones in my opinion with the original Xbox 360 Gears 1 was the best online. The rest where not good imo.

Gears 1 was the best hands down. Dark and gritty from beginning to end. Gears 2 was an incredible sequel that ranks close to the first imo. Don’t think they will ever recapture the magic of the first two games. The emphasis has shifted and propably won’t go back.

I have all 5 mainline games from sales on the Xbox store... I need to play them one of these days

Gears and Halo 3 made me pick up a 360 immediately after playing at a friend's house. Great times there. Gears was something new and different from everything else

Game series is ugly art wise, plays super clunky and is just lame. I hate gears.

I remember booting Gears 1 on day 1 back in 2006 and my girlfriend at the time said “how could games look any better from here.”

Not only was Gears 1 special for its visuals, but the gameplay felt so fresh and innovative. What a time.

360 era gears doesn't miss, amazing games. One era, ain't a big deal, really not missing much with it
