After months of disappointment?

Ive not been disappointment ANY month with the free offerings. Even if the game isnt that great or even if I own the game its still a plus as it gives me a chance to own the game digitally too.
Psplus is fine. Could it be made better? sure, but its not disappointing as it is.

They are not gamers. Gamers will game, no matter what. Ps plus allowed me to try games I won't have bought. Some were crap, some where gems. But I don't regret playing the crappy ones. Because I love gaming. Those who complain are complainers, they will always do, unless there will be the few games that they enjoy. But they will complain anyway, because they pre ordered it xd

I think the selection of monthly games could be better, however the cost is so cheap that I just automatically renew without thinking about it.

Abe, A plague Tale, and Squadrons VR more tan made up the $60 cost for the year for me.

You guys want to compare gamepass to ps plus? Fine let’s do it:

Service expires: ps plus you lose access, gamepass you lose access.

Renew service: plus you have access to all previous titles you received, gamepass you have access to whatever is in the vault when you buy in.

Price: plus 60 bucks a year with sales as low as 30 for a year. Gamepass 60 bucks for 6 months 120 for a year.(has had an exploitable glitch for new comers if you buy a years worth of live you can convert to year of game pass. Price was a dollar not sure what is now.)

Collection: ps plus the longer you keep it the larger your collection grows. For ps5 you get an initial 20 games out the gate of PlayStations top games 1st and 3rd party. Gamepass a little over 100 rotating games with ea access added. All games rotate for this service meaning they can drop out from time to time(Xbox 1st party titles being an exception unless they discontinue like forza).

Streaming: ps plus games are all stream able to a phone, tablet and select TVs. If you have the game you can steam it. Gamepass a growing library of cloud based games but still limited to select experiences.

These are the comparisons of the service.

Am happy with PS+ to be honest. They are by the looks of it starting next month even giving is VR games as well as the PS4 games and ps5.

Not every month is amazing but many months have been . It’s a great value to me and I signed up until 2028 or 2029 . I bought all of my years on sale of course which is easy to find

Months of disappointment is a bit of a stretch IMO. Almost every month had a game I wanted to try. I do have a PS5, though.

Sony needs to do better with the PS Plus service? If that's the case them what should Nintendo do? They are charging $50 for N64 and Sega games and some DLC. Yeah I think the article should have been about Nintendo not Sony.

Shouldn't the title be "xbox live" need to evolve?

Needs to evolve to what? I paid 25 for a year, and I'm getting 3 free flat games, and now 3 free PSVR games a month. When they are giving games like FF7 remake away included in that, it sort of pays for itself and then some.

I don't think it's been 'months of disappointment' - PS+ is stronger than XBL Gold every month.

I think what they need to do is simply have a GamePass competitor - and that likely would be a separate thing from PS+

Pft... really? Maybe they should just give you a new PS5 every month too. They have been doing just fine. You should just save your "suggestions" for Sony rather than a user audience that ain't going to do shi7 for your opinion.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
