Elden Ring fans have been waiting for an update on the game for a long time now. Recently, some artwork showing the bosses has leaked online.

Please be for PC and current gen consoles only. This is my most anticipated game and I haven't even seen any gameplay or even what it looks like.

The initial trailer only listed PC and last gen consoles

Edit: This article says Elden Ring was announced with no platforms but if you check the end of the E3 2019 trailer (link below) it lists PS4/Xbox1/PC. Typical journalism

Please be next gen exclusive. After demons souls remake it’s going to feel dated otherwise. It’s always going to be held back and problematic in a technical sense.

I don't think it will be held back from a technical sense. Dark souls type games don't need the latest hardware for fun combat. The graphics might be a bit behind Demon Soul's if only last gen but for this type of game i think it can get a pass. I still like the old graphics of dark souls 1 and 2 because of the feel they give the game. I hope they add support for the haptic feedback on PS5 though.

Please have a very easy or story only difficulty for noobs like me(please don't hate I been a gamer for 25+ years) but with 3 kids and work don't have dedicated time. that's why I play games on easy or story mode so I can enjoy the games and relax

Hate to burst your bubble but he wont do that, thats how he makes his games its his formula. All I can say is analyse the boss attack patterns and you'll be ok. But not sure how this game will play out so can't say anything

Souls games have an easier mode offline and that's overleveling. You grind a 'juicy' area early enough to inflate your stats so you don't die from 2 hits or deal 100 damage per minute, but of course that requires time (and a lot of it), which you don't have, so we're back at square one.

Gotta agree with you on that one, for the same reasons here. I've never understood the drama around this issue. It seems like a no brainer for developers to make a game that is accessible to all skill levels. If you are skilled enough to play on a crazy hard level and still enjoy it, just enjoy. I don't even care if super hard is the base level and you get other perks for playing it at that level, but it can't be that hard to offer a "dumbed down" skill level to allow more people to enjoy the game. Just seems to make financial sense to me.

I’m actually scared that this game will get stuck in last gen or be plagued by issues a la Cyberpunk if not next gen exclusive. The GRRM collaboration and release of Demon’s Souls remake set the bar pretty high. The open world nature of the game is going to be a huge technical obstacle for smooth gameplay and the sense of immersion, this is FROM we’re talking about. People will have time to get their PS5s and XBSs before it’s released, stop jinxing the game.

from software can make stylized games even on older hardware, they never had the best graphic fidelity nor the smoothest framerates, but what they do have is the best atmosphere. So even if its also for last gen, im sure itll turn out fine.

After seeing what can be done with demon souls on ps5 I'd prefer it to be current gen only, but we cant have everything ;)

This looks incredible! given the history with these games and a fan of the genre, no one needs worrying...it will however truly shine on Pc/Ps5/SeriesX

I hope they will reveal next gen versions of this game. 60fps and fast loading is a must from here on out. Demon's Souls remake has spoiled us now.

I hope these 3 parts of the rumour in particular are true:

- The gameplay is similar to Dark Souls but the map size is much larger.
- There will be dynamic weather and day/night cycle.
- The game has completed its development in the first half of 2020 and it is currently in the polishing stage.

I'm dying for a new Soulslike.
