Probably one of the most exciting things about next-gen will be Ray Tracing. The Minecraft Path Based Ray Tracing is just superb it looks like a damn CGI movie. Hopefully we can get ND, Decima's and other UE4 titles pulling off real time path or GI based ray tracing.

Lots of 3rd parties will skip series x because of gamepass, no ones buying games on xbox one since gamepass was created to hide the fact that xbox has no exclusives. I dont buy games on xbox one anymore because im sure the game will end up on gamepass eventually.

I'm really glad to hear PS5 is so easy to develop for, as a small time developer myself i've been able to have a candid peak behind the curtain of some bigger studios (mostly through some friends and old instructors, im nowhere near good enough to work at these places)and having seen/heard some experiences i have a very deep respect for Sony really catering towards developers. In the end we all win with this approach, but from what ive heard around the net and from my friends this is really going to help with things like crunch, not eliminating, but still they expecting quite the difference.

I'm not even sure I care much about ray tracing. Not a fan of it on PC. I mean, it's cool, just really doesn't makes me happy like higher FPS or good anti-aliasing makes me.

I really hope strong emphasis in FPS. That what matters most to me.

Ray tracing sounds like another buzz word that is cool when you see it in action and then couldn't care less after a short time.
I want to see a clear difference in generation this is what i personally would like from next gen. I know sony has the best games I like but I dont want a little upgrade for my money

That twat ex-employee actually works for Microsoft now and is trying to play down PS5 as much as possible.

The PS5 is the better machine will show it is, just like all the other playstations before it.

If any console runs openworlds better it'll be the PS5. It destroys the series x in bandwidth throughput of ssd and memory config. 12lanes of ssd unheard of and still not possible on pc.Not to mention the RDNA3 features Sony hasn't unveiled yet.

RDNA2 is built for RT.

XBOX supporters are reaching and they will end up just like last gen. No memorable games to play.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Wuchang is great. Nine Sols didn’t have a physical copy so I never played it but I’ve heard good things so I will check it out. I stopped playing sports games many years ago when before the card dlc’s or whatever they’re called.
