Project Aether: First Contact - Mech Shooting, Bullet Hell Fun!

Sammy J from Gaming Daze writes: What I love the most about the Indie crowd is the fact that we get to see games being developed in all kinds of genres, including those that would not get a second glance from bigger developers and publishers. Indie developers with their burning desire of creating the game of their dreams in order to hopefully catch onto a niche audience will pour their heart and soul into a project. I am almost convinced that without Indie developers, there would be several genres of video games that would no longer be developed. Without smaller game studios, would we really see games come out like Project Aether: First Contact? It might not mean a great deal to gamers whose interest in games solely sits within the realms of the next Call of Duty or Fifa, but the truth is that this game will sit nicely within a niche of gamers who will welcome it with open arms.

that looks boring as F@$#Rk and yet mentions best shmup ever?, seriously what's going on with lots of todays gaming low standards?, Switch selling because of gaming bad looking ports and indies, Gears 5 saying is awesome and the best yet?, people going nuts with Overwatch 2 while looking the effing same as the first one?, Diablo 4 going full online and yet people defend it ?, gaming companies shoving down our throats their god damn services, MT everywhere, are we going into another Gaming industry collapse here?, who knows but at least we still have some talented gaming developers/designers like Kojima that stay true to its roots and still pushing gaming of what it can be and we need them the most of them right now.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit23d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing23d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9223d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
