Is that when Sony is going to make em mandatory? They should have already by now. Its kinda like the XMB "option". If Sony wants to get on the ball, they need to do everything MS does and then some. Basic marketing.

In the end they are so different. Just as VC is different from Fallout 3 even though they both are RPG. Fallout 3 is great, it is addicting. I feel its more of a mature game because of how it plays. VC is more of a game for everyone. I played the demo for VC and it was fun, I really liked it but Fallout was on my list with LBP before VC. It depends what type of game you feel like playing sooner because they are bpth great in their own way but I would highly recommend Fallout 3, no regrets whatsoever. Gonna go play some now. Either way I think you will be happy with your choice.

I also tried the VC demo and it has a strong strategic touch to it. It's nice, but for a full price RPG, I think you get more out of Fallout 3.

i got Fallout 3 first, because it came out first and my fiance REALLY wanted to play it (she's a huge fan of Oblivion, and when i told her Fallout 3 was made by the Oblivion guys, she was sold).

i don't see why it always has to come down to a choice between JUST ONE game, but i understand if it's due to financial reasons, and you really CAN'T have both.

personally, if both were out at the same time, i probably would have gone for Valkyria Chornicles, JUST because Fallout 3 is going to do fantastic sales wise, no matter what, whereas Valkyria is a new IP, and could easily be overshadowed by the "mainstream" games (ie, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Gears 2, Resistance 2, etc), and that would be a shame.

i mean, look what happened to Folklore; fantastic new IP, but it released when so many other big games were coming out (and at a time when the PS3 and it's exclusives, regardless of quality, were still being nitpicked to death and hated on). as a result, poor sales, now there most likely WON'T be a sequel, which is a shame, because it had the makings of a great franchise.

tough call, but my advice would be pick up the game that REALLY has your interest more, then pick up the other later.

At least it unfreezes after apporoximately 2.5 seconds. They should release a patch pronto, for the bugs. How about when I go to complete the GNR mission, and the door to the building is locked? I had to level all the way up to 100 on lockpick just to pick the side-door and complete the mission, not to mention the random freezes when you face a different direction while walking the spacious outdoors? All in all, an awesome game, and while I wish the trophies would be retro active, I know they wont be. That wont stop me, though...

now I have to wait out the next few weeks until they ship me back another broken 360 with a different expiration date. The Customer service rep said there is a backlog of reports especially nearing the holiday season. I guess everyone is faking reports/making legit reports to get new 360's for December.

But yeah, picked it up on the ps3.. playing it just fine, oddly enough I even leave the ps3 on all day and when I get home, no hardware failure. Developers that release patches later should make them retroactive, like most developers do. They leave a couple o new ones that u have to get from scratch, but some are already there. Its the developers choice when it comes down to it, Most of the second to none highest scoring exclusive games like LBP have a ton of trophies that you can get while waiting for other games to add them.

Isn't the point of achievements and trophies to give you more incentive to play rather than just to boost some meaningless score?

whether you sony lover/xbox 360 haters like to admit it or not achievements make a game 10x better to play... I wouldn't be to careful and picky to play every single quest if I wouldn't be rewarded by some achievements... I would simply rush through the game and probably never play it again... I would probably never beat the game... and trust me.. it has nothing to do with showing it to others... I wish I could play Final Fantasy 7 with achievements and have it in my gamertag for years to come...

The only reason why you are ok without achievements is because is half-arsed implemented in the system you love.. and therefore you are completely ok with it...

@wil4hire - at least is not as bad as me... I am on my 10th PS3 that dies on me... :)... RROD fake stories are getting too old...
