Console wars are as pathetic as the people who participate in them. If you need to have the success of a corporate product define your self worth you don't need a console....you need professional help.

This is evolution? *Contemplates where the human race is at in this day and age.* You know what? We as a species engage in far worse pastimes than bickering about videogame consoles, so this isn't even close to the worst measure of how pitiful the human race has become. Not by a longshot.

Just as dumb as people thinking that they should be no more exclusives, all consoles should have access to every game. The only people singing that tune are xbox and pc players.

If console wars are what makes us human i'd rather be a slug. Its a fucking plastic box lets talk about games and why we love them instead of the stupid shit i'd much rather have deep discussions over why a game is good not just have it designated good status because its exclusive to a certain plastic box.

I get that console wars are a way for us as people to justify our purchase cause these things aren't cheap and not everyone can afford to get 2 let alone 3 but if your plastic box is so fucking good you wouldn't need to cheer lead it all fucking day, all it tells me is your insecure about your purchase and need internet points to give you that much needed validation.

It's the old "if your console is so good why are you arguing about it on the internet instead of playing it", the fact is all 3 have pros and cons no matter how much you love your plastic box of choice there may be things you like that others do better.

Humans have to pick something to be a part of that is bigger than themselves. A lot of them need that validation. They do so with sports, political parties, nationality, religion, etc.

At the end of the day I can dig all platforms and I'll admit I'm jealous of rtx on PC, lol, I'm hoping the next gen consoles will be able to do it relatively well and show them PC mutts their $4000 grand rigs are ridiculously overpriced.

I agree, and it's very human of us to go full on immature grand levels of stupid. However, this isn't like the days Sega vs Nintendo. The console war has devolved into disgusting toxicity due to being able to be unanimous over the net. I would say it isn't even a war, more like a free for all cause fanboys attack those who have legitimate critiques about high profile games. Aside from that tho, most don't take it THAT personal however fandoms ruin it for all

From all of my years on this site, I have seen nothing good come from console wars. It's all just pathetic bickering. You can't criticise anything without fanboys swarming over your comment and belittling your comment. Just recently some people criticised what we are seeing of Death Stranding and Sony fanboys were jumping all over those comments. It was the same with Nintendo fans when anybody would say they thought Zelda: Breath of the wild was bland.
