It’s understandable that Nintendo didn’t immediately start working on other “Maker” titles to follow-up the original “Super Mario Maker.” It surely was a hit, but it was still an unusual game, and the developer had no real way of telling whether gamers’ interest was genuine or if it was the result of factors like YouTube trends.
Although Super Mario Maker 2 on the Nintendo Switch received its final major update back in April 2020, it still occasionally receives a smaller update. The latest one follows on from an update in 2022 that addressed several issues.

I still say the series peaked with Galaxy. They've put out good stuff since then, but nothing really matched up.
I mean how can you miss the obvious Mario Kart Maker? I would also add a Metroid Maker where users could make their own huge 2D maps
Zelda and Mario Kart would be ideal candidates
I remember there was a pc game made by an independent called Zelda maker but Nintendo stopped him and he had to rename it, but it definitely looked really cool.
