I called it first that Fallout was going to bugged and broken on all platforms. Bethesda has a track record to keep and it seems I was right on the money. I wouldn't be to mad about it you all only paid 10 bucks for the game, the other fifty was paid for the hype.

screw this game, it offers hardly anything new and is basically an oblivion expansion. With all these good games coming out theres always a better buy.

Is this another fake bug article? Does the "lock up" occur when you hit the pause button?

Well with a game this big, there is bound to be issues, and it rarely happens. It happens randomly it seems dimeford. My girlfriend was playing it a week ago when I first got it and it locked up when she was going across a river. Then it locked up on her when she was fighting mutants. It locked up on me right when I was finishing a side quest. I was pretty pissed. There is no correlation and it has nothing to do with the pausing the game. Besides that, it is an awesome game and while it does have a lot of similarities compared to Oblivion, it is still an incredible game in its own right with plenty of new aspects.

Also I think IGN talks about the lockup..the only reason I cant see giving the game a perfect 10 besides a few spots where the visuals are murky and the game gets to dark is the bugs.

Locking Up i don't think so my game is running smoothly with sharp graphics and i can't say the same for ps3 i'm hearing its got loads of bugs,tearing,lag,and so on.

The Xbox 360 can not handle Fallout 3,thus the reason for the lock-up

But hey, at least those glitches look better on the 360!

I guess when you're at the point of writing articles about how NOT to break the game ... there is a problem.

Just how much more advanced are Western/European developers versus the Far East? Better question is how more advanced is Easter QA versus Western QA!

The smell of jealousy is intoxicating; oh, it smells so fine, like fresh flowers, or cerulean sheets of sunny sweet sky. Alas, what can be better than sipping fine wine, or eating apple pie, or dare I say watching fanboys cloak themselves beneath warm, moldy blankets of false comfort.

Is there anything more sacred than hypocrisy? Its who we are, what makes us sing, or dream, or even adopt the very argument we formerly disregarded... I talk, of course, about graphics.

To the heathens above, please drop the act. Glitches are commonplace among all video game titles, be it widespread or confined just to the pimply kid with "bad luck" glasses. Did not the earlier reviews already speak of this, claiming it instead to be minor and insignificant? Hence, so what if a FEW people suffer from an unfortunately glitched out copy? Is this not indicative of the gaming experience at large, you fools?

I plan, no doubt like many others, to purchase the esteemed (and critically favored) 360 version of Fallout. In this sole respect, I treat myself to a better, more rewarding experience of Fallout. In the event, of course, that a freak occurrence manages to ensnare my not-once-broken-Xbox, than I will be at severe loss in comparison with other gamers, both Xbox and Ps users collectively.

In other words, let us keep in mind that 1) the extent of Fallout's glitch problem is unknown/undocumented, thus impossible to verify whether or not a specific console is to blame; 2) Bearing the first principle in mind, all console owners are potentially susceptible to the same risks, until solid documentation is provided linking whatever console to the problem.

To conclude, keep crying suckers. One of us lucked out, with regards to our purchase of console(s)... there will always be winners and losers, and those who neither win nor lose because their too busy having fun. Don't take it personally.

My PS3 doesnt lock up but it freezes and unfreezes and Ive found the problem and its an easy fix, whenever a friend signs on the game stops until the name vanishes from the corner of your screen. Basically the fix is to turn of the "friends sign on notification".

EDIT: just notice its not really a freezing problem because the game goes into a pause mode. I just noticed the screen fades when your friends sign on, but again if you want to stop this just un-select when your friends are signed on.

If it locks why did IGN rate it 9.6

Now technical issues like that should lose some points.

Hell they took out some points from Uncharted for screen tearing and pop ins.
