Semblance Review (TSA)

TSA writes: "It is rare that a game can make you stop in your tracks, turn around, and go and watch it being played in a nightclub. That’s exactly what happened when I first saw Semblance at GDC though, as a crowd gathered around it like a horde of sugar deprived bees. Here was a puzzle platformer that stood out from nearly everything around it, and it continues to stand out as the game has released."

Semblance Review: Solid Gameplay In A Squishy World | Indie Ranger

Andrew McAtominey writes: "Dropped in without much preamble, you’ll find the game has a rather simple structure. There are three worlds: Cuddly, Swamp and Snowy, and they each have several levels for you to play through. The levels all have the same goal, which is to collect ‘essences’, essentially floating orbs, by solving puzzles to reach them. This describes the vast majority of the game, but it makes for a mostly satisfying gameplay loop, with some drawbacks."
