A New Gamecube Mini Could Be In Development

The Gamecube Mini could be the next thing. Nintendo has filed a new trademark for the original Gamecube and claims that it’s not for merchandising reasons but only for video gaming purposes.

But Nintendo probably is safe owning those. But if they cant get a hold of Rare's game licenses again then it would look bleak for a N64 mini. It'd still have some good games on it, but not what people will remember the system for being, other than Mario based games. Though if they can remake the feel of the controller without people having to look for hardware from 1996 and 3rd party replacement parts that'd be great

There are other games they can put on the N64 mini that aren't part of Rare's catalog, though Rare definitely put some of the best N64 games out there.

If there was no Rare, here would be my list of 20 N64 games:

Meh. Like September said, there’d be a multitude of games they could use, plus Nintendo was able to work things out regarding DK64, since they were able to get it into Wii U VC, and DKR, all they really had to do to get it on DS was remove Conker and Banjo.

It would look odd but Nintendo and others have more than enough games to fill a mini 64
Mario 64 Mario Kart 64 Pilotwings all essential Ocarina of time maybe even Majoras Smash Bros, F Zero X Lylat wars 64 basically the list september indecember has posted except as much i would love blast corps it’s Rare as I just finished it on Xbox 1 Rare reply collection few months ago ;) beetle adventure racing would be good tho
