Interesting that the date on the Pipboy is October 27th, 2102. That's 59 years before Fallout 1, 139 years before fallout 2, 175 years before Fallout 3 and 185 years before Fallout 4. This will be the earliest Fallout yet, only 25 years after the bombs dropped.

Vault 76 was mentioned in fallout 3 and 4. According to the citadel list, 76 was a control vault (no experiments) with 500 occupants planned to stay closed only 20 years. it was not known to have any special equipment for a reclamation day.

For real? You have time for a new Fallout but can't make your most wanted and biggest IP The Elder Scrolls 6. Bethesda can just jump off a cliff at this point.

Lemme throw a few facts your way:
-Vault 76 was already mentioned in canon in Fallout 3 within the Citadel's computers. It is one of Vault-Tec's control vaults, so it was meant to work exactly as intended: a population of 500 vault dwellers with supplies and technology to support them for 25 years until the vault's eventual opening post-bomb.
-The game is set in West Virginia, a literal stone's throw away from Washington DC.
-The year 2076 has massive significance to the Fallout timeline. 2076 is the American tri-centennial, the date fo the creation of the T-51b Power Armor, the date of the beginning of the American offensive on Anchorage and the annexation of Canada.
-One year later, The Great War happens, as well as some very important events: John Henry Eden goes online, the FEV outbreak at Mariposa, Robert House goes into stasis, Robert Maxson and his crew go into seclusion, etc.

All these facts hint that this game might be THE most significant game in the series lorewise of the entire franchise, and the physical and temporal setting of the game makes me think that we might be looking at the origin of the Enclave as the main story.

The studio behind the cancelled Battlecry is working on this. I'm guessing Battlecry was repurposed into a Fallout online shooter. Maybe some of Fallout 4's settlement building was thrown in as well.

Their game engine is ancient.

I like the whole patriotic angle, I think that'll be really interesting.if done right.

I hope they will not use same dull game engine....

If the rumors saying t will include online like Rust, then no buy for me
At least if you're including an online mode make it a story coop with up to 4 players only

Looks like the same engine. Hopefully that means they're building this game with vr in mind this time around so it's properly implemented. Imo. A new engine might be too much for vr. I'm just hoping and guessing here

Game is supposedly a online multiplayer survival game with some fallout 4 building mechanics involved. If that's the case I'm definitely out. Very disappointing for someone like myself who enjoys single player games far more then multiplayer. Plus I've played and beaten every fallout there has been. Looks like I'll be skipping this one.

was mega hyped but then MP rumors started leaking out so im drastically less hyped than before :/ hope they dont turn out to be true because i have no interest in a fallout mp experience in the slightest.. will sadly be the first and only fallout game i dont own if so :(

All the talk about the engine like this is cod or something the creation engine is from 2011 compare that with what other studios are using and is in par in terms of age.

Rage engine is first debuted in rockstar table tennis from 2006 and is powering red dead 2 spectacularly.
Cod uses an engine from 1999 and ww2 actually looked quite nice in 4k

It's not cutting edge but it's also not dated either personally I'd take an older engine so they can produce more titles on it I'm getting over devs trying to build new engines constantly which significantly delays titles just one engine every generation or two is fine
