Nintendo is, in fact, forcing the public to make a decision to either rebuy(full price) old games or allow the console to collect dust. Though I will NOT repurchase what I already owe, most people are not willing to go without. Nintendo knows this, why do you think they didn't actually create new games for the system? A new Mario Kart, Zelda, etc would have changed people's take on this subject. DLC is not a reason to rip people off, hell, given their blatant laziness that should have been free. Smh

Think about Sony, Microsoft, Steam, GOG, etc they believe in giving back to the people, while Nintendo offers little in that affect. All the above mentioned companies offer free and heavily discounted games, why doesn't Nintendo? Nintendo knows the public is willing to turn a blind eye to them for what they'd crucify another company for.

What has Nintendo done to show a semblance of sympathy for the people they abandoned with the Wii U? It's shameful actually, but if people like it, I love it. Just don't justify or dismiss the affect it has on other people, is all I'm saying.

Brainwashed? Good lord you're delusional. You're trying to apply these dark narratives to very logical business. The company had a system that bombed, and the same company has a new system coming out they hope does much better. There is nothing out of the ordinary about moving on from the failed system as quickly as possible. You're acting like it's free for Nintendo to just keep Wii U shelf space for eternity, just for the minimal profits they'll get for doing so.

Also, you're wrong on two other points. Firstly, Wii U merch is still on shelves everywhere, despite your so-called talks with the business heads. As well as, Nintendo gave the Wii U MORE than a fair shot, giving it the same 5 years they've afforded basically all their systems. Don't even pretend like they tried to sweep it under the rug. They've accepted it as a failure and have moved on.

By everywhere I'm certain that you are speaking about the used or online market such as Game Stop or Amazon. You see sir, my words are not adding no darker narrative than the truth. You see my profession as a business consultant and a video game store owner affords certain information to be known along with other heads of companies. Best Buy, Wal Mart, Target, and the like we're in fact instructed to remove their merchandise in order to receive Switches. Now Game Stop, being a very unique company in it structure is the one spot that had its choice, but ultimately, had to comply by last year. Just saying the N64 stayed while the GameCube launched and the GameCube stayed once the Wii launched. It's crazy because it's almost like I ran my own companies during this time to know. Smh lol. By the way, it costs Nintendo NOTHING to keep anything on the shelf, because to be on the shelf they would have to already be purchased from Nintendo. When a company says shipped, that means to manufacturer or warehouse, given no sales can be measured until the barcodes are scan into the Point of Sales System. Why do you think online sales are seldom measured, because they're not scanned but shipped? Just some basic information of how this all works. So Nintendo told Walmart to ship all the Wii U stuff back to them? Is that why you can still buy the stuff on the Walmart website? It's almost like Walmart cleared shelf space for a new system, by sending items that weren't selling in store back to the warehouse.
