Firewall: Zero Hour Preview – Next Level VR Gaming I The Koalition

Tatjana Vejnovic of The Koalition writes: Back in the day when I was growing up, Counter-Strike was the shit. And not just my shit, either – everybody seemed to be invested in Counter-Strike. The idea of CS was simple: terrorists versus counter-terrorists, five players on each end, everyone starts with a knife, you buy weapons, and you go. With Counter-Strike, you had three different types of maps (similar to Overwatch, come to think of it); diffusing a bomb (or defending said bomb), a hostage situation, or an assassination. From 1999 to present day, players are still enjoying the game both casually and professionally.

I also had a chance to play this at PSX and can honestly say that it was a lot of fun. Reminded me a little of Rainbow Six but presented within a VR format.

This game seems like a lot of fun and I look forward to more information about the game and a possible pickup.

I played this at PSX last week and it was intense a and awesome. The lady took the headset away from me and said "Times up, sorry, I could tell you were javing so much fun". Standing up and playing is like getting a little extra exercise too. Thats always a plus.

Firewall Zero Hour was the game that just kept giving. Those guys worked real hard on the game and it was awesome fun.

PSVR2 compatibility? Sequel??

Neonridr1376d ago

I'd love a new game for PS VR2.

Watch Sony acquire these guys in the next year.

jukins1376d ago

They really need to. They havevthe potential to make a vr gane that catapults vr to mainstream or at least an esports staple. I honestly cant wait to see what theyll do with way more power and a way more capable headset at their disposal

MadLad1375d ago

I hope they don't.
This site hates big companies keeping devs and their IP away from people.

You're probably mistaking single studio acquisitions with massive multi-billion dollar publisher acquisitions which include tens of studios and established IPs in just 2 fell swoops.

Firewall Zero Hour: Operation: Rubicon arrives tomorrow

From PS Blog: "Hi all! Damoun Shabestari (aka Shabs) here, game director at First Contact Entertainment — developers behind Firewall Zero Hour*, the team-based multiplayer shooter exclusive to PlayStation VR**.

New operation but no new map. Shame.

Should have been putting in more modes and maps into Firewall than creating Solaris. Gamers are barely playing that one. And it just came out.

SullysCigar1788d ago

Solaris is okay, but it's not pulling people from Firewall. Firewall is still a great game.

Also, Alvo seems to have attracted the players Solaris was after. Alvo is really good fun, COD-like, and they have more content on the way, I hear.

There were better prices on the PlayStation Store as regular sales and Christmas time frame. I got Sairento and AC7 for $15 new. And that was physical at Gamestop and Target respectively.

As for Fruit Ninja, I think this is the ONLY price drop I've ever seen for that game. And I still won't buy it at that price. The developers are nonexistent and have kept FN at full price since launch almost 4 years ago. Want to be ninja? Get Sairento. You'll thank me later.

Shop around. You can always get a better deal until you can't.
