Firewall Zero Hour was the game that just kept giving. Those guys worked real hard on the game and it was awesome fun.

PSVR2 compatibility? Sequel??

Neonridr1237d ago

I'd love a new game for PS VR2.

Watch Sony acquire these guys in the next year.

jukins1236d ago

They really need to. They havevthe potential to make a vr gane that catapults vr to mainstream or at least an esports staple. I honestly cant wait to see what theyll do with way more power and a way more capable headset at their disposal

MadLad1236d ago

I hope they don't.
This site hates big companies keeping devs and their IP away from people.

You're probably mistaking single studio acquisitions with massive multi-billion dollar publisher acquisitions which include tens of studios and established IPs in just 2 fell swoops.

New operation but no new map. Shame.

Should have been putting in more modes and maps into Firewall than creating Solaris. Gamers are barely playing that one. And it just came out.

SullysCigar1649d ago

Solaris is okay, but it's not pulling people from Firewall. Firewall is still a great game.

Also, Alvo seems to have attracted the players Solaris was after. Alvo is really good fun, COD-like, and they have more content on the way, I hear.

Spider-man Miles Morales, Demon Souls and Sackboy all being in the top 10 makes me happy though I'm mostly physical I'm glad they're selling well :)

I thought people were saying Miles didn't sell well?

Nice to see a hardcore niche title like Demon's Souls in the top 5. Great work

JEECE1828d ago

It's not on the PS4 list. Btw Spiderman 2013 was 3 on the 2018 list and 8 on the 2019 list. So much for those 115 million who were going to buy exclusives on PS4 even after PS5 launched.

DeadSilence1828d ago

Good to see great games selling well.

Fifa is a juggernaut in EU wow

Miles Morales is number 2 on the PS5 and nowhere on the PS4 chart. It isn't because the game launched in late in the year either, because COD did as well, and it's number one on PS4. Nor is it because people aren't interested because it's "more of a Lost Legacy expansion than a real game" because it was pushed as Sony's big fall exclusive and on PS5 it outsold everything except COD (beating "real games" like AC, NBA2k and Demon's Souls).

Rather, it's because the "install base" strategy doesn't work for exclusives. People don't buy exclusives on old hardware once new hardware is out. We were told this game (and Horizon, and unfortunately probably God of War) had to be held back because 115 million PS4 players were going to come out in droves to buy it, but they didn't. By the time Horizon comes out, even more of the crowd that buys exclusives will have already moved to PS5, making this problem worse.

Bathyj1828d ago

How was it held back?
That's a fallacy where people say if it wasn't in old hardware it would have been some magical game not possible on last gen.

The truth is miles will play like Spiderman, forbidden west will play like horizon and Ragnarok will play like god of war. There's nothing it the design of those games that can't be done on a PS4. Just enjoy the games for what they are. They are not unicorns.

JEECE1828d ago (Edited 1828d ago )

Well yes, of course when games are made first on PS4 and ported to PS5, they will be designed around the PS4 and therefore should only include things the PS4 can handle. But if you are seriously arguing that the PS4 can handle a game of any scope, why don't you see how Cyberpunk 2077 is running on base PS4? If you were right and better hardware doesn't allow for better games, why ever stop releasing games on PS4? Why not keep putting them out on PS3, and PS2, and Super Nintendo as well?

It's actually you pushing the fallacy the the only thing different about new hardware is graphics and that everything can just be scaled. Look up bungie talking about how they had to limit the scope of Destiny on PS4/XONE to accommodate PS3/360 if you don't believe me.
