Josh from The Total Bro, "Another day, another major publishing company is once again trying to gouge money from a fan base it doesn’t care about in a greedy attempt to maximize profits that they don’t need...The issues with Battlefront 2 go above and beyond the norm, though. The difference between the usual publisher scam and this one with EA is the heavy handedness of it all. They thought they could get away with the most egregious microtransanction power move made by any company to date and in a way they will."

Well it has both to be honest, but EA are the root cause. Having class progression behind RNG was never ever a good shout, you spend 2-3 hours on it one evening with your favourite class, you unlock a crate, you open said crate to get a star-card to support a class you don't actually play. Then you get angry and put £10 down to open some more crates in frustration, hoping to get something to actually give your class a boost.
