They had to patch in the white complexion lol. It's cool they they did so, it's just funny that they had to.

I wonder if they "consulted with members of the LWH community, both externally and within their own studios." And carefully decided to allow white people in the CC.

RpgSama3293d ago (Edited 3293d ago )

Lol, their version of "improving" the game is adding yet another gay romance option, I'm all for inclusiveness but I don't think the lack of a THIRD gay romance option was on the list of stuff people criticized about the game.

opinionated3292d ago

The way they talk about how they consulted internal and external help to discuss how that specific species of alien perceives gender is hilarious. That's beyond inclusivity, that's just weird.

Bioware priorities are upside down and I will wait until they prove themselves again before I buy anything else they make. As of now they are just a bad joke lol.

MilkMan3293d ago

Keep chopping away. At least you haven't abandoned the game. Sad that that would be an indicator of good support post-purchase.

SubZtx3293d ago

Hah, basically "Our character isn't gay enough, we needed to hire outside consultants to make him gay as possible for realism" way to set your priorities Bioware...

MunchMiller003292d ago

Feel bad for owners of this one. The game you got on the disc is an incomplete pile of trash. Might as well toss it, and wait for a "complete edition" to come out. Love that modern gaming.

For All Its Flaws, Mass Effect: Andromeda's Approach to Romance is Something ME4 Can Learn From

While Mass Effect: Andromeda was let in several key areas, one of its approaches to romances is something Mass Effect 4 should consider revisiting.

I hope Mass Effect 4 ignores the inferior prequels and instead closely follows the far superior Mass Effect: Andromeda and Dragon Age Inquisition.

anast509d ago (Edited 509d ago )

Mass Effect 4 should just make Mass Effect 1 but better with current tech. Fans would be happy. As far as romance, they should take notes from the Witcher and Cyberpunk.

Ristul509d ago

Later Bioware games have to little build up. You can have a normal conversation and all of a sudden BAM! The character you talk to becomes super flirty.

TricksterArrow509d ago

Reminds me of Baldur’s Gate. I wanted to practice some magic and Gale made it super weird. Not even gonna mention Astarion.

gold_drake509d ago (Edited 509d ago )

iii dunno about that.

the only really great and funny dating partner, is that outlaw guy anyways haha he was funny as hell.

other than that, i found every character to be very annoying.

ZeekQuattro509d ago

Shout out to Keri the Asari reporter. Current relationship status be damned as she's game either way. Anything for a good story. 🤣

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast551d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine551d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast551d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman551d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast550d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

it's like bitch but your shirt back on, your not blue or spikey get away from me

BioWare Thinks Mass Effect Andromeda Was Better Game Than Reception Suggested

BioWare thinks Mass Effect: Andromeda was a better game than what reception suggested; taught the studio not to shoehorn open-world without any meaningful content in it.

I played it and it wasn't as bad as people said. Is it in the 8-10 range? No.

It's a 6-7, which means it's a solid game.

LordoftheCritics586d ago (Edited 586d ago )

Veilguard and Andromeda are of similar level to me.
6 to 6.5 ish

Though I think i enjoyed Andromeda's combat and sense of scale a little bit more.

XBManiac585d ago

Veilguard has better graphics.

neutralgamer1992586d ago

I agree with you It was a 6.5 type game. Gameplay was solid everything else was lacking. Playing at launch with all the issues was just absurd. EA could have let the developers keep patching and fix the game but they stopped just like they did with anthem. It’s crazy to think multi billion dollar publishers can’t afford to keeping patching their games get medium size developers can support the game for years

But when you have android wilson running the company what else can we expect.

OtterX586d ago

Except 6-7 doesn't translate as solid. 6 means a bit flimsy, but still good/enjoyable if you can look past the flaws. 7, a little less flimsy, and enjoyable. 8-10 would be "solid".

But I get your point. I skipped the game entirely, so I don't have an opinion on it.

H9586d ago

I played this game back when I wanted to give every game I bought a fair chance and finish it, it was the reason why I stopped doing so, god the game was bad

TheNamelessOne586d ago

I actually enjoyed Andromeda. It wasn't a 10/10, by any means, but I played it years after the fact, after a lot of patching, and I had a good time with it.

anast585d ago

Same, I enjoyed it too. I might even replay it soon.

TheNamelessOne585d ago

Might do the same, honestly. Went through the trilogy a couple months back.

raWfodog585d ago

I liked it as well, and also played it for the first time over a year after it was released. The original trilogy was a better story overall IMO but I still enjoyed Andromeda.

lellkay586d ago

The game is so unbelivably bad, it's laughable.

pwnmaster3000586d ago (Edited 586d ago )

It really wasn’t. Well for me nd I’m a big fan of the series.
Was it mass effect standard? No
But overall I thought it was a decent game.
6-7/10.

Armaggedon585d ago

You might want to try playing a truly bad game. Go boot up two worlds or gollum to get the perspective you need

MatrixxGT585d ago

Wow, two worlds…red ringed my 360.

Armaggedon585d ago

Lol. Its one of the only games that I have experienced buyers remorse with. The only one I can think of is riders Republic.

matt139586d ago

So delusional, the title was an embarrassment to the original trilogy. it’s the equivalent of 2042 to the battlefield franchise.

thorstein585d ago

2042 had a redemption arc and what exists now is a pretty good FPS.
