I should of know Nintendo would ignore Wii U owners.

xPhearR3dx3366d ago

I should have known you read the title but didn't actually go further. Hell, even the thumbnail of the giant video embedded into the site says "Patch 1.11 Switch/Wii U Test". I doubt you have a Wii U anyway considering this patch came out last week and you apparently think Nintendo is ignoring Wii U owners.

2pacalypsenow3366d ago (Edited 3366d ago )

Yep I don't have a Wii U, but who really cares, it's just Nintendo...

You should have learned how to write properly.

pretty sure it's for both systems...

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Drooooooone on....

Sour just for the sake of it.

"Yep I don't have a Wii U, but who really cares, it's just Nintendo... "

then why are you commenting when you have been shown that they did indeed patch the wii u? it just doesn't do as much as the switch and maybe nintendo should be rewarded instead of bashed from people like you since they got it running already quite well on the wii u. at least they didn't abandone the project like sony did with the last guardian and only make it on the new hardware. this game is likely pushing the wii u to its limits so patching may not help it much at all.

2pacalypsenow3365d ago

Because the game runs terrible on the Wii U

But i thought the Switch wont have any patch to fix their games because it uses cartridge xD

iplay1up23366d ago

Nobody ever said that. Also considering the patches a VERY SMALL. Take seconds to download. Its not like a GTA 5 patch thats 7 gigs. I hope they have another Wii U patch soon for the frame rates. The first one fixed quite a few. I do not have a Switch yet, and won't buy BOTW for it when I do get one, as I really would only play it docked most of the time.

InTheZoneAC3366d ago

for all other games this would help boost overall ratings, but since nintendo and zelda this game was already awarded a perfect score and anyone that complained about these noticeable defects were simply told to stfu or take it and deal with it.

Prince_TFK3366d ago

Have you read most reviews? It isnt serious enough to affect gamplay. And this patch is just a cherry on top, which make the game even more enjoyable.

InTheZoneAC3366d ago

when I played zelda I agree I had fun regardless of the stuttering but it happened pretty often compared to any other game that has occasional stutter. Sure it doesn't harm the game, but to say it wasn't noticeable, well that's subjective as it happened frequently.

Gemmol3366d ago

Did you watch digital foundry stress test video this before the patch and they prove it do not bother the game as other games would.........i bet you did not because after they lost that video most of the haters fid not reply under the video because they wanted to keep going around spilling false information

Sirk7x3365d ago

When Witcher 3 first launched, in places the frame-rate stuttering was so bad that it actually made me nauseous. Still a fantastic game, and was vastly improved upon after launch. People don't really care about occasional dips, as unless it's constant, it's not going to really ruin the gaming experience for you.

InTheZoneAC3365d ago

And I never said it ruined the game, but dipping from 30 fps to 22fps while free roaming is VERY noticeable. I only played about 8 hours over the first two days and I definitely can remember several times that happening. It doesn't break the game but it definitely should affect reviews.

And don't mention Witcher, this has nothing to do with that

InTheZoneAC3365d ago

I think the ones that keep adding to this and deflect by bringing up other games can't let it go, kid

I've definitely noticed a huge difference, especially in TV mode.

higgins783365d ago

Nintendo trolls be like, yes, ABOTW may be a masterpiece for the ages, but, not having both versions running at a locked 30fps 100% of the time is unforgivable, and no, the fact many AAA games running on PS4/XB1 run worse with added screen-tearing is not the same.

Moonman3365d ago

JEALOUS! Won't change the fact Nintendo gamers are playing the best game released this ENTIRE generation.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Review

Michael from NoobFeed writes: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Switch 2 Edition is the same game that you know and love, but with additional bells and whistles that somehow make a perfect game even better. With a feature-rich companion app, true 4K visuals, buttery-smooth 60fps, and an extra save file, what's not to love?

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition review - ChristCenteredGamer

CCG writes - "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition successfully takes one of Nintendo’s best titles and makes it look and run exponentially better than it ever has before. After playing this new version, it’s hard to think that I settled for such a worse-performing version all these years. "

I say this as an owner of a switch 2 officially now (got it finally last week). Thats all well and good, but lots of us were saying the switch was underpowered to begin with - then labeled as haters (why would a hater buy a device they hate?).
I loved BOTW on Switch but could never escape the feeling that despite how good, it just felt.... old... graphically.

Glad to see theres an elevated experience on the new switch 2... but the point still stands - imagine if Nintendo released an actual real console with the full power of the series x or ps5. then imagine what BOTW could look like. I wish Nintendo would do something like what MS did with series x/s - release a full proper console as the flagship, then have the switch as the portable scaled down option. They both play the same games, but the console would run the full blast version of the games. That would be a win in my book.

also like MS (and occasionally Sony), I wish Nintendo would release these upgrades for free. A new switch 2 game is already $80, and they're charging $18 to play a game you already own with better frame rates and resolution. thats almost as bad as them charging money for the "welcome tour" game, that literally just shows you the features of the switch. not a cheap system after purchase.

MrBaskerville307d ago

It's not free, but the upgrades are included in the Nintendo subscription service thingy.

rlow1307d ago

@MrBaskerville

Which still means your paying for it.

1nsomniac307d ago

…which is exactly what he just said - “it’s not free”.
