"has no need for your gimmicky apps" needs a smartphone app to use voice chat 😒

No matter how ubiquitous a feature is, I'd hate for a successor to not implement a basic ability that its predecessor had

Definitely. I still find it dumb how CDs can't be played in my PS4 still.

I feel the browser for the Switch will come eventually. Would be very dumb not to include it

It's not gimmicky to have a web browser.XD
Although it would certainly be a step down from the Wii U's web browser, which lets you use one screen for typing while the TV screen is still up. (this post was made BY that very Wii U screen, actually.XD)

I've had lengthy discussions with people on Miiverse on the Gamepad and I can't imagine trying to do that with a regular controller. Up until I broke the Gamepad screen I used that to type all my comments here on n4g as well. I've finally sent it in to get it fixed after 7 months and should be getting it back in the next few days.

It will have a browser eventually. Why it won't be there at launch is weird though.

I think they need to allocate as much RAM to gaming as possible. Online gaming, LAN and Virtual Console before another nice web browser. A basic one to search daily news is fine.

One gig of RAM has been sufficient for the Wii U web browser and I'm sure the RAM in the Switch will be faster than in the Wii U.
